About this property

Linda's Haven is a gorgeous log home, sleeps 8, WiFi, Roku, central heat/AC, hot tub mountain vie...

Welcome to Linda's Haven located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. This custom built 3 bedroom, 3 bath custom-built log home, sleeping 8 offers breathtaking year-round views and incomparable mountain serenity.

As you enter the great room you are greeted with the floor to ceiling stone wood burning fireplace. The magnificent view can be seen from every angle of the great room. Step out on the wrap around deck and soak in the view. The large master suite is also on the main floor with an en-suite bathroom that includes a separate shower and tub. The top floor of the cabin provides another large king size bedroom with an extra entertainment area and a reading nook.

The spacious loft has a full bathroom and plenty of seating. Two of the loft chairs flip open and turn into two twin beds. Venture downstairs to the lower floor and you will find another bedroom with two twin beds and a full bathroom. Also on the bottom floor is the game room with a ping-pong table, a foosball table, and air hockey game.

When you are ready to enjoy the outdoors, you will find a walking path through the woods on three acres of this mountain property. After a day on the slopes, or sightseeing the local venues, hiking on the Blue Ridge, or simply strolling through the woods, enjoy a soak in the bubbly hot tub. Try your hand at cooking on the gas grill then gather everyone around the outdoor table for dinner under the stars or talk about your day gathered around outdoor firepit and picnic area.

This home comes complete with fire pit, hot tub, game room, 65" Roku TV, wrap around deck, fully equipped kitchen, and a walking path through the woods. There is something for everyone in this beautiful and spacious log home.

Please note Wi-Fi is limited data. Please no internet gaming. Wi-Fi TV and satellite TV are provided. Small dogs are welcome with an additional fee. Please notify property manager if you plan on bringing your pet with you. Exterior security cameras are on premise.  Gradually inclining to slightly steep paved roads for easy to moderate access make Linda's Haven appealing for most all types of transportation.  4-wheel drive/all-wheel-drive and/or tire chains may be necessary during winter weather road conditions.

This home is only a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and only a few miles from golfing. In about 20 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This home is about a 20-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).

Nice cabin
The cabin was very nice and the views were great. The only problem we had was the parking. No way to drive up the driveway. We had to park at the bottom of the driveway and carry our luggage up the hill. The same when we picked up groceries. We enjoyed our stay but wouldn't stay again.

Spectacular home with lovely view. Cleanliness gets an A+
Everything went like clockwork. The two questions I had were quickly managed by Maggie Valley. The cabin was just as advertised and I loved it.

Great Place to Isolate
Remote and great place to isolate for a family vacation. Our Grown children loved hanging out here. In the Fall, Spring and Summer, the area would be prime for outdoor activities. Take the ice/snow cautions very seriously. Winding one lane road, but only about a mile, up to the place. Drive way very steep. Not much of a hiking trail on the property. Beautiful knotted pine inside and log cabin out. Small family room so 8 Is the max number--we had 7. Realty company very quick to respond to any concerns that we had. Loved the stay!

Two sisters’ families
My sister and I and our two families met in Maggie Valley for a wonderful four day vacation. My two children, 9 and 6, and her little boy, 2, loved playing down stairs at the air hockey table and in the toy bin around the fireplace. This was such a great location for us, as we went to see the Biltmore one day and ride on the Great Smokey Mountain Railway the next day. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking some home made meals. We had planned to do a picnic around the fire pit one afternoon, but the rain prevented our outdoor adventure, so we went into town to do some shopping. There was a pleasant trail to walk down near the picnic area, that we enjoyed strolling with our dog, Hunley. The walk down to the picnic area is very steep, but there are some steps to help you get down that way. You could also drive down and park the car there if needed. This cabin is such a wonderful place! I hope your family enjoys it as much as we did.
