We appreciated all the room and cleanliness of the unit. It was upstairs. I am not clear if we knew that. But we made it work. Our suggestions is to get a new can opener, a new toaster, and some hooks in the bathroom to hang damp towels on. Other than that, we really enjoyed the unit. Thank you so much.

Great location! The proximity to the Seawall/beach was wonderful. Literally and two and a half block walk, and you were on the beach. A few great bar/grill/restaurants right there. The pier was just a short walk….maybe 4-5 addition blocks. Beds were comfy, was great having two bathrooms, and laundry! Very good overall experience!!!

Love the pink house. This was our 2nd stay at the house. Close to beach. Plenty of pillows and blankets. Needs something to put your close in so you don’t live out of a suitcase in master.

Love it!

We loved our stay. We had family meets us at the house. It’s was the perfect size for us. Loved the patio off the kitchen. So close to the beach. No problem with parking even though it was a holiday. Very quiet during our stay. I will be back next year.

The property was in a very good location to explore Galveston. It was clean and equipped to do your own cooking. The balcony is very comfortable. What brought the evaluation down was the handling of the deposit. We returned the apartment on May 04, 2026 meeting all requirements of the host, who did not show up. When we checked our credit card at home, we found a charge for a deposit of twice 1500 USD in the name of VRBO with the same RDD number. First we were told that one deposit would be returned on May 18. Only after a lengthy exchange we convinced VRBO to return 3000 USD on May 18. Is that procedure normal?

Property was nice, but there was not enough silverware or bowls. Patio needed to be cleaned of sap and leaves. Trash was never put out for garbage pick up so it had to be stacked up all week which caused flies. We were there for a week. Great location and AC worked great!

Pleasant stay

This is a cute home to stay in. It has a fully stocked kitchen to make an entire breakfast and dinner. The bathrooms had plenty of towel and toilet paper. There is also shampoo and conditioner in both showers. . We were able to run both showers at the same time without pressure issues. Laundry detergent and dish soap was provided. The beach is 2 blocks away. This was perfect for us. 2 adults and 3 kids. We would stay here again.

Water

The property was clean and well kept. The beds were very comfortable. The only complaint was that the water smelled terrible. Also we didn’t know that 1 bathroom was not in the bedroom and was far way from the bedroom. Overall it was a good experience.

Colombus Day Weekend Getaway

There were some cons and pros for staying here. It claimed there was a keypad for check-in but it was a physical key located in a lockbox. Second, there was a dangerous hole in the second-floor balcony! When we told the owners about it and asked for it to be repaired, they claimed they didn't know it was there and that they will send someone to fix it soon. No one ever came. Noisy neighborhood, the people next door were partying all night. The outside was messy but the inside was roomy and nice. Living room and kitchen were well organized. But it does have an old house smell.

Should not have tried to save a few bucks. Host did not answer any of my messages prior to stay. Only contacted me to apologize for her downstairs guest who opened our door, came in while I was not dressed and said he had a reservation for my unit. Uh-uh. Nope. Not ok. Apartment was poorly stocked with cups plates pots pans silverware etc. A tangle of wires hanging down from the tv. Renovation appears done low budget. It was mostly clean except for the long-dead pigeon on the back deck. We were disappointed. Couldn’t reserve without an additional $59 for insurance. Won’t be staying here again. So many better places in Galvy.

We were asked not to park in the driveway, but no one else parked there the entire time we were there. The grass was about a foot tall and we had to walk across that. We also couldn't find a broom so we bought one and left it there for the next person. Everything else was great. A/C worked well, the beds were comfy.We also had to buy more toilet paper. 4 rolls for 5 days with all ladies just isn't enough.
