My husband and I stayed here for 6 weeks in-between homes. It is a cute 2 story old brown house with an upstairs unit and a main floor unit. Sara was absolutely incredible. Very responsive and friendly. We got lost trying to find it the first night, but other than that, it was perfect. Would definitely stay here again!
I would stay here again if I was working in the area, definitely better than a motel but you are out in the country and about 8 miles from HIllsboro and as the listings says you have about 3 miles of gravel road to drive on. The interior has a lake cabin feel with the pine wall boards. I stayed there in February and March through 4-5 blizzards and -28 temperatures. They always had the driveway opened up for me to get out, but I was glad I had 4-wheel drive since the roads weren't always that great in the early mornings. I was always warm and loved the heated kitchen and bathroom floors. Internet worked great but there was only a firestick for TV which I wasn't familiar with using at first, but I bought a ROKU stick and learned to use it. I never used the fireplace, but the tank was empty, and it looked like a pain to get it started and I really had no desire to use it anyways. Since I was the only one there and no one was renting the place above me it was quiet. The only thing I would suggest is that the owner invest in a complete and good set of pots and pans that work on the induction stove since some of them provided weren't in the best of shape. I ended up buying a couple of pans to use since I was there for 2 months, and I do a lot of cooking, plus I needed a couple of new one for my house! I enjoyed seeing the herd of 80 deer out front every morning and evenings and an occasional coyote. Sara was a good host and if I had any problems, she was available and took care of it.
