We love coming to Blueberry Cottage every year. The home is beautiful and quiet and everything there that we would ever need. Owners are so kind and make sure everything is clean and ready for our stay.
The home is perfect each time we stay. It’s truly like staying at home but with the beautiful lake. We always book our next stay here as we leave the driveway. Wonderful place and owners take exceptional care of propriety.
We had a wonderful long holiday weekend. Beautiful home and amenities. They had everything ready for us and felt like we were at home. Great location and quiet area.
We enjoyed a great vacation at this lake property. The house was very comfortable and was great to have a dock to keep our boat tied to. Quiet neighborhood and short drive to Toccoa and Lavonia, GA. Would rent this location again.
Great property. Everything worked and was clean and accessible. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit and ample supply of wood. Martin was very responsive to questions both before and during our stay.
We spent a very relaxing weekend at the Blueberry Cottage. Loved the porch and view. Master bedroom bed was super comfy (would love to know the brand of the mattress). Plenty of space for our two families. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Peaceful
Even though checkin is 3 pm, We arrived about 430 pm just as the lawncare guy was blowing all the leaves accumulated on the property. I would have preferred that to be done prior to our arrival, but i also understand that things happen and maybe it was just a fluke.
This was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever taken and I didn't want to leave! There is plenty of space for a family to enjoy time away together-games, a fire pit, puzzles, fishing, and paddle-boarding! The screened porch has a couch that we enjoyed lounging on with our morning coffee on the overcast day. If you plan on kayaking you may want to bring your own attachable seats. Also, apparently a previous guest sunk the peddle boat, so that wasn't available. I know our family will definitely be back to enjoy time together again.

Nice Place
Attractive decor; lovely, wooded property. A lot of poison ivy, had to be very careful when walking to dock and around firepit. Concerned about safety of deck railing spacing, too easy for a pet or child to fall through. Child/pet gates at the top of stairs would be a good addition. Also need places to hang hand towels and hooks on back of bathroom doors for robes, etc. Our stay was pleasant; spent most of the time on the deck enjoying the peace and quiet.

It was a horrible experience and a financial disaster.
...so much so that we may never use VRBO again. Dirty dishes, grimy floors, scratched and dented bakeware unfit for use, old animal feces on the floor in the basement, overgrown and moldy main entrance. To be fair, the two main bathrooms are renovated and very nice. It was the main living area and kitchen that made it impossible for us to stay the whole time. We couldn't cook anything and went home.
This is the second time my family has visited Blueberry Cottage, and we'll definitely be back. Nice interior that has been updated. Good wifi. Sizable kitchen. Fire pit. Easy access to the lake. Really couldn't ask for me.
I’m not sure why this is but somehow it was 63 rainy and cold in late June in Georgia when we arrived. Imagine how excited my three kids were lol. Once we arrived we made the best of it. Awesome location for quiet and paddling around. Nice neighbor dogs and nice neighbors. House had everything you could think of! We enjoyed our stay even more when the sun came out and we were able to not freeze lol.
Great communication with the owner! We went with our 3 teenagers and their friends. Good location on the lake, short level walk to the dock, great firepit with plenty of wood and seating, large dining table, comfortable beds, all upgraded interior, beautiful home. I highly recommend this place!
Lovely, clean home right on Lake Hartwell. Our family enjoyed our fall weekend getaway. We canoed, paddle boarded, and kayaked. We played cards on the long kitchen table and made s’mores at the fire pit. The kitchen was well-equipped to make our family’s meals. It was also nice to have clean towels and linens available. Thanks for sharing your home so that our family could reconnect and recharge.
We had a great time. Everything was exactly as described on vrbo. The owner was great to work with. Definitely will rent again. Thank you for sharing your home.
This was our first time staying at Lake Hartwell in Toccoa area and I would def recommend this little gem to anyone. So roomy and clean. We had a family of 10 and it never felt crowded. Plenty of beds and areas to just hang out. I think they thought of everything a family would need or could use here. The kayaks, peddle boat and paddle board were just a plus. Great communication and very friendly when contacting host with question.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was very clean and just as described. Martin was very prompt in responding to my messages. The house is located in a nice subdivision about 15 minutes from Toccoa. We had a great time and hope to stay here again in the future!

About the host
Hosted by Martin
We’re Georgia residents with a 3 boys and a daughter. We have a dog called Jax and a very busy household, so we understand the need to get out of craziness of daily routines and into a serene setting to disconnect for a few days. That’s why we purchased the Blueberry Cottage!
Why they chose this property
It’s peaceful and disconnected from the noises and pressures of the city.

Our house has all the modern amenities a seasoned travel might expect with a tranquil outdoor setting where you can grill, sit by the fire pit, fish, or hangout by the lake and relax. The property has a gentle slope down to the lake, plenty of parking, and room for up to ten people.
