It was a good place to getaway for the weekend. I enjoyed the patio/campfire area which included a great view of the river. I recommend it when visiting the Cheese City.
My son and I stayed for the Road America IMSA weekend. The accommodations were top-notch. Very clean and homey. The bedroom and bathroom were nicely updated. The living space and kitchen had a cozy, cabin vibe. Short drive to downtown Plymouth. Nice restaurants nearby.
This was a great stay and the owners were great! We stayed at this very convenient property to be close to Road America. The location is very convenient to the track and local restaurants. Plus, it's a nice place with a nice patio and a river view. Everything we needed was there. We would definitely stay again!
The place was wonderful, the amenities were awesome but the posting lacks mention of the fact that you are basically connected to the main peoples house by a thin curtain…

Lia was an excellent guest.
The rental space is pretty clearly listed as the lower level of the property. It is separated from the upper level by a vinyl accordion door at the bottom of the steps and has solid core privacy doors for both the bedroom and the other lower living area (marked “Please Close Door for Privacy”. Admittedly, there is some sound transference at times which may be an issue for some guests.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We weren’t sure how it would be with the host being in the upstairs of the home, but it was actually very private and not an issue at all. Everything was decorated very nice, lots of amenities and extras provided, very clean and well maintained. The view outside is beautiful and so peaceful. Beds were very comfortable. The host, Dennis, was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed visiting with him and Bubba. We most definitely plan to stay there again next year when we go to Road America. Our friends who were also in Plymouth for the weekend were a little jealous of our accommodations.
We had a great time as a family in Plymouth Wisconsin at the Lake House! The house fit our family of five perfectly. The view out back looking over the lake was beautiful, with plenty of space to sit around inside and outside. We made s’mores each night and used all the games they had in stock. It was like a throw back to our childhood😊 They had a cooler filled with bottled water, snack and a basket full of delicious local treats with a note when we arrived. We loved it!

Stacy, Chris and their family were awesome guests. It was our pleasure sharing our home with such nice people and knowing they enjoyed their weekend getaway.
Nice, quiet stay in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a river. The backyard with a fire pit, grill, swing, and seating was a great way to start and finish the day. Dennis was available when needed and easy to work with. Good information for the area was provided. Road America & Fairgrounds are right around the corner and Lake Michigan and plenty of state parks a short drive. Would definitely do it again.

Brian, his wife and their lovely dog Alice were perfect guests. They enjoyed and took care of the property and made it very easy to host. As our first ever VRBO guests at the Riverview Getaway, they will always hold a very special place. Hope all our future guests will be as great as them.
We were planning to tent camp at RA when the weather forecast prompted us to seek an alternate accommodation. We found this listing and booked last minute. The property is basement of the home the owner is living in. It does have a private entrance at the back. The interior door leading to the upstairs had a minimal lock. The listing was clean and overall as described. I reached out with a couple of questions that were answered promptly. The bathroom was recently redone, although the fan does not work well to elimintlate humidity, which was particularly noticeable with 5 people showering. The beds were fair in matress comfort, not great. It was very hard to control the temperature as well, despite the fans provided. Overall, we felt the accommodations didn't match the pricetag. With fees, we were near 400 per night and this property didn't live up to that price.

I loved the location , the view and nature. Safe town. Walks in the garden, neighborhood, downtown. Relaxing having coffeee on the patio overlooking the river. Peaceful reading in the garden, an relaxing, no car noises( such in a hotel). A true getaway. I feel recharged
The place is actually the refinished basement of a home on a hill. The only thing separating the guest quarters and the main house, where the hosts live, is a vinyl accordian door with a latch for a lock and a big gap at the bottom. My children were very uncomfortable which made me even more uncomfortable. Didn't sleep much as I was "on guard" the entire stay. We checked in late and was in contact with host via the Vrbo app upon arrival several times. We cuddled up on couch with the kids to comfort them and wind down, lights off, TV on, pajamas on, and the host knocks on the door. Seriously?? What was wrong with the way we had been communicating until the morning?? That was creepy and set the tone for uncomfortable feeling.
The stone downhill path to the door is slightly uneven which is not good for anyone with issues walking. My 12 year old Daschund struggled a bit. There were a few times where I wanted to grab something out of my vehicle but didn't want to deal with the path, especially at night.

We were quite surprised and taken aback by the review by Ms. Toni, especially since she had mentioned both during and after their stay how much she and her boys had enjoyed their visit.
As we now understand it, her main concerns were centered around 1) security and 2) the flagstone access path leading to the lower level of the property being rented. In our view, the home is located in an extremely safe, small Wisconsin town in an excellent neighborhood and the path is quite well lit with 6 path lights and 3 bright motion lights.
As background, since Ms. Toni (admittedly) had not read the listing or the detailed entry instructions that we provided to her, her boys entered our personal home (the upper level) which was unlocked and after some confusion phoned us for guidance.
We were able to walk Ms. Toni though the entry process over the phone but we thought it best to return home, speak to her and make sure that everything was ok. In our small town, this action would normally be considered courteous and hospitable.
During their stay, we made numerous accommodations to Ms. Toni’s frequent requests and did our best to make their visit a pleasant one. The boys enjoyed using our kayaks, canoes, Paddleboat, golf clubs, games, etc. but did not return what they used to where they found them nor care for them properly.
Upon their departure, we noted damaged and missing property for which we filed an insurance claim which was ultimately paid. We chose not to review the guest but decided to just move on since our monetary damages had been covered. Our only concern is that we expect a balanced and fair review of their visit.
We strive for all of our guests to have an excellent experience and our ratings demonstrate that we have had a good degree of success. We are sorry that Ms. Toni was not fully satisfied and wish her and her boys all the best.
My family and I went for a short vacation and stayed here. It was very clean and well-maintained. And all the little amenities and personal touches were very much appreciated. Overall it was a great place to stay!
I was traveling with my teenage boys from Minneapolis to meet up with my family from Chicago after COVID. This was a perfect place to meet in-between. Of course one son forgot a toothbrush, no worries- we had so many little extras available just in case.
This was also my first time using VRBO and it was so smooth and easy.
We loved the yard with river view, swing, chairs and fire pit. The apartment was comfortable and well furnished, and the kitchenette was adequate for our weekend needs since we ate out a lot at the races and local restaurants. Located in a beautiful neighborhood.
This rental was easy to get to,was accommodating, and Comfortable

Ian, your group was awesome.
Thank you so much for staying with us, leaving the unit so clean and for the very kind words written in our guest book. I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.
My friends and I had a great time staying here! Even with everyone home upstairs, we didn't feel like they were right next next to us or that they were really loud.
The games were a nice touch to be able to use, and we checked out kayaking as well. The kayak could have used some cleaning, but it really wasn't a big deal.
Only feedback we have is with the beds. The room with the two beds is very nice, but two queen beds would work better vs. two full beds, especially if advertising the place can fit six people. The pullout couch is VERY uncomfortable to sleep on, even when adding extra blankets for cushion. We think kids would be fine with it, but adults will most likely wake up uncomfortable.
Overall, this is a great place to stay! The couple is very nice and welcoming, and they took care of all our needs. We would definitely come back here again!
