Perched on a bluff overlooking the Blackwater at Smith Mountain Lake sits The Retreat at Pine Haven. Spend your days enjoying the views from the covered deck, swimming, boating or kayaking and your evenings around the flickering flames of your own campfire ring. Ask about adding Kayak Rentals to your stay.

We are immediately available by phone, text or email if any need arises, but we will not disturb your stay.

Pine Haven is a unique enclave of log homes on 8 beautiful acres with 1200 feet of shoreline on Smith Mountain Lake.

You, your family and friends will have exclusive access to the entire retreat including the amazing fire pit and patio. In addition, enjoy shared access to the floating dock which is awesome for swimming or tying up your boat.

Enjoy this totally updated, two bedroom, two bath log cabin. Space includes fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, 65” TV and high speed internet for streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu USING YOUR OWN ACCOUNT. Amazing campfire ring and patio and huge shared dock.

We recommend getting around on the lake by boat when at all possible, but if you must drive, the property is accessible by car, suv or motorcycle.

There is absolutely no smoking allowed inside the cabin and due to allergies, no animals of any kind are allowed inside or outside of the house.

My brother, sister-in-law and I came to Rocky Mount for a concert at The Harvester. We loved Rocky Mount! This place was conveniently located to Rocky Mount. It was nice to sit on the porch and watch the boats, and we had a great breakfast at the Marina. We would stay here again!

Relaxing and quiet getaway

Beautiful location overlooking the river. It was off-season and quiet and beautiful. Very well maintained and clean property. We had fun roasting marshmallows by the firepit overlooking the water. Thank you Lannette for opening your home for us to enjoy a comfortable and cozy stay!

The cabin felt clean and is nicely decorated. Kitchen is good. Beds are comfortable. A couple of new cabins being built in the same community so there were construction vehicles, workers, and noise. Would stay there again.

We loved this lake side cabin. Enjoyed the firepit one night and decks. Cozy cabin with 2 bathrooms on main level, 1 bedroom (mattress was ok) downstairs and 1 bedroom (great mattress)upstairs. Kitchen was well stocked with nice cooking utensils/pots. Nightlights were thoughtfully provided in bathrooms for those nighttime visits! Overall nice accomodations, excellent view, porches and firepit!

Nice cabin but maintenance outside lacking

The inside cabin was very clean and well maintain. We came to see the beautiful scenery but you can definitely tell that the owners do not focus on the porch area. Cushions were worn and filthy and cobwebs all over the place which made it uncomfortable sitting outside to enjoy the view. Porch area had not been swept or cleaned for a very long time..

We were very disappointed to find both bathrooms were on the 1st level and no bathroom in the bottom level. We don't feel this was conveyed on the site. We made it work but thought bathrooms would bd one on each level since it promoted separate spaces to relax. Also we only stay in cabins when traveling and over the past 25 years we have never had to haul our trash to a dumping station. We feel that that should be part of the rental price ...trash service included. Now we were only there 2 nights and only had 1 bag but it was inconvenient. Also the fact we had to strip the linens from the beds and put t hem in a basket...this has always been part of housekeeping. We complied and did what all we had to...but feel the trash service and housekerping should be part of the rental and cleaning charges. We felt like having to go upstairs to use the bathroom was inconvenient when we thought it was expressed 2 bathrooms ..separate areas. The cabin was nice and the location was nice. Might want to update the pictures of the lake view since you really can't see the lake.
