Enjoy beachfront living during your stay at this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental condo in Destin! The condo is located in the gated community, Silver Dunes Condominiums and is perfect for up to 8 guests. This unit is located in the B building on the 3rd floor. This gulf front unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master bedroom has a king bed with a walk in closet and its own large private bath with double sinks. There is also 3 large side by side windows to give a panoramic view of the gulf! The guest bedroom has 2 queen beds. Living room has a sleeper sofa. The kitchen as granite counter tops and is fully equipped with dishes and pots/pans for your use. Unit also has a washer and dryer. Non Smoking

Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Outdoor furniture very uncomfortable. A lot of the electrical sockets didn’t work. In the master bedroom it sparked. Limited kitchen counter space. Great views of the beach.

The king bed in the master bedroom is incredibly hard and uncomfortable with a noticeable ridge down the middle. We were also surprised that the new booking deposit is now 1/3 of the total rent up front.

Members of our family have stayed many times over the years. You won’t be disappointed!

My hope is the new owner will remove all furniture and carpet to give it a serious deep cleaning. The area rugs are dirty and the whole condo has a musty smell. Both bathrooms need to be updated. I would recommend the cleaning service be notified that we had to clean the bathrooms because there was still hair and the toilets had a ring and stool. We are very down to earth renters so I don't feel we are nitpicking. The mattresses also need to be replaced. Very low quality. Family room has chairs that need to be thrown out - dirty and uncomfortable. This unit has so much potential but I would not stay in it again until it receives some serious love.Maintenance needs to turn on lighting along parking lot. It was dark and felt very unsafe at night when walking past the storage lockers.

We wanted a place walking distance to the beach with a great view and this unit gave just that. It was nicely decorated and clean. The balcony view was beautiful. Each room had a view of the beach! We enjoyed our stay and loved that the Condominium was low key, no crowds. Our beach had the least amount of chairs out so we all had a front seat to the water. Only downside, the TV would freeze and not work. My husband and son were not happy about this. And I wish coffee, and coffee filters were provided like most places.

Don’t want to wash towels on vacation. Cost of condo is expensive enough! No pantry for groceries. Had to move bowls etc around to make room. Replace old scarred kitchen table!!! Kitchen cutting knives were dull. Pros great view. Love new fridge & dishwasher.

This was our first stay in unit B1304 and we will rent a different unit from now on, it was a major disappointment. Units should be held to a standard in order to be rented and this unit had so many issues. Broken dryer, broken coffee pot, broken bed frame, tv did not work, patio table and chairs falling apart, kitchen table leg fell off while we eating breakfast. Beds had no blankets. It felt like something went wrong every day over our 8 day stay. The view was beautiful and beach service with George was wonderful as always. However, this unit needs major improvements.

That's why it hurt my heart to not rebook for the first time ever when we checked out. We love all the rooms we have stayed in over the years, especially B1304. This year we were a bit disappointed in our room. We always cook in the room several times. This year we didn't have something so basic as a colander for boiling shrimp. We were just told sorry when we asked about it. It's supposed to be a fully stocked kitchen , and there has always been one there before. Another condo renter needed a large skillet. We let each other borrow. We did purchase one to leave in the unit. Outlets are loose and won't hold a plug, and some don't work. It's been that way for a few years, and I've put it on my review before. The biggest reason was that the room is tired and needs a good deep cleaning. My husband had problems with his breathing the whole week. As I checked the room to make sure that we had everything, I checked under the bed to be sure nothing got kicked under there. So, so dirty and dusty! Probably the reason for his breathing issues!Save money and don't put those little hotel shampoo's, etc in the rooms. You could have them available if someone forgot theirs, and until they go to the store, but everyone brings those with them when vacationing because it's not enough for a whole week. Soap, enough toilet paper, the dish washer detergent, a few trash bags, and the other extras were fantastic!Last year, we mentioned the palm tree that was blocking the view. We were thrilled to see it gone! Thank you for that!I can't imagine not being back in one of the end rooms next summer! We love it, but are undecided. We do love Silver Dunes!

However, this time on our second day, an appliance in the kitchen began to beep. It was reported to the front desk twice during our week stay, but it was never fixed. We had to listen to the beeping 24/7 for most of our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, the condo was excellent. The new beach service is not personable, not professional, and inept. The did not adjust umbrellas throughout the day, they did not put chairs together when they said they would do so, and they did not get the payment correct. I received an email today stating they couldn’t find where I paid...totally incompetent. Very sad because I really enjoyed the beach service before and consider it a “piece of vacation” that I don’t have to worry about. Would have given 5 stars on all if not for the beach service.

The view couldn't be matched. The one thing that is going to need improvement is the beach service. I fully recognize that George spoiled all of us but this group needs to step it up a bit. Aside from setting us up, the only time we saw them was to pay. They never adjusted umbrellas or made an effort to interact at all. Again, we were spoiled. They will need to up their game if they want the tips.

360° Gulf Views with Sugar Sands at Our Feet

This end unit condo was amazing! We selected this condo because of the stunning views and the updated furniture advertised, especially the lanai (balcony) which sealed the deal for me! After our late arrival I went straight to the lanai, wrapped myself in a blanket, inhaled the crisp Gulf air then fell asleep listening to the ocean waves. My husband 'made' me come inside, but I could have stayed there all night...amazing! The next morning I prayed, meditated and did Yoga. That became my oasis. The family enjoyed the convenience of simply going down the stairs grabbing spare beach items and hanging out on the beach. We watched them from our lanai. If we were any closer we'd be in the ocean! However, we had a few issues during our stay, but they we quickly resolved. The A/C ran out of freon, but onsite Management resolved it while we were out enjoying the area. One of the guest beds had sand...eew, but we washed the linen in the unit's washer and dryer since it was too late to notify Management. I'd recommend having laundry detergent, dish washing liquid (to hand wash dishes...I used shampoo) and cleaning solution to clean counters and oven. We went to Walmart to buy these items. Also, the ceiling fan on the lanai blades have corroded so the fan doesn't work. Also, we arrived around 9pm and there was no one at the security gate and we weren't given a gate code prior to check-in so we had to follow another guest inside the gate. Other than these little bumps, we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this condo. We recommend it and would definitely stay again.
