Great place to stay. The location was perfect and the house was well stocked. There were some beach and pool toys available for the kids and a cooler to take to the beach. It was a easy walk down to Orient Bay but we didn't go down there too much due to the sargassum covering the beaches. All other beaches we're easy to get to by car within 30 minutes.

Fantastic stay at Filao

We really enjoyed our stay at Filao! The house was lovely and very clean! The pool and outdoor area were lovely with plenty of room for lounging about. It was an easy walk to the beach or to the square for dinner. Property manager Magali was a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely visit again!

Wonderful Villa

We really enjoyed staying at Filao. The villa is spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing week. The kitchen is well-appointed, the washer and dryer are useful, and the pool is perfectly private. We look forward to coming back during the high season. Special thanks to Magali for everything!

Glorious week

We loved the home. It was exactly as described. Perfect for our family of four. Fantastic that each of the kids had a bathroom of their own. The kitchen was well appointed. Easy walk to the beach and shops. We hope to return next year !!!!

Almost a disaster, Management Company saved the day!

House is lovely, everything was as advertised and we'll likely rent here again. However, we only were able to stay for two of our planned 17 days. Hopefully this doesn't violate any terms of the site with this review, but it's a review of the Management company and not the house. If you are a frequent traveler you're going to run into over sold flights, over booked hotels, and all manner of snafus. Stuff happens, it's just the nature of travel. Well, to our dismay, upon arrival we were informed there had been a mix up which resulted in a double booking and we could not stay (long story on why we needed to move... but we agreed with the logic and it's not important) . As you can imagine this was a panic inducing start to the trip as it was the Christmas high season. I can not speak highly enough of Magali and her Island Escape SXM team in both owning the problem and moving mountains to source another property for my family during what seemed to us to be the busiest Christmas on the island since Irma. So really this review is to say; if you rent this house, you're going to be in good hands because the owners have engaged a top flight management team that really cares about doing the right thing and providing great customer service.
