Enjoy our remote, peaceful, lakefront Family cottage where you can relax or exercise to your hearts content. Accessible yet very private. Park your car for the week and right out the door are mountain biking, road cycling, hiking, swimming, paddling, fishing, boating, and more. A fleet of kayaks are available for your use, or bring your own boat, jet skis, paddleboards, etc and tie up on the private dock and beach. Warm, clean, and tranquil waterfront great, jump off the swim raft, float on tubes, fish, or just chill by the pond with a good book. We are located on Danforth Bay with easy boat access to all of the Ossipee lakes. (Boat and jet ski rentals are also available right down the street at nearby Goodhue Marina.) 20 min to North Conway.

Nice summer vaca spot

We really enjoyed our stay. The different sitting areas set up outside were really nice. We spent most of our time swimming, playing board games on the screened in porch, and exploring in our kayaks (probably our favorite part with the different ponds and lakes that are connected).

Cabin on the Lake

Was very pleased with the property in general. Tranquil location with excellent access to the water for fishing, swimming and other small watercraft. Cabin was spacious enough for 4 adults with the exception of a small shower. Living room furniture inside could use and upgrade as it was not comfortable at all. Overall, the place was as described.

Lakefront home in Freedom, NH

A small home that can sleep seven comfortably, although the small bathroom and shower might be tough for a large crowd. With a long shoreline along a narrow section the lake, boat traffic is calm and neighbors are far enough apart to keep things quiet and peaceful. The screen porch is wonderful and breezy. There's a small sandy walk-in spot for swimming and a canoe and kayaks are available for paddling. The owners were very nice and accommodating to our needs.

Awesome week on the Pond!

We loved our stay at Bill’s cabin! The property is amazing! With a fixed dock, a floating dock, sandy beach, fire pit, picnic area and grassy yard, we had lots to enjoy! We caught a ton of fish off both docks (I assume it’s a good spot because we saw a bunch of other people fishing in the area), swam, paddled, had fires, played in the sand and grass, and overall had a blast! I would definitely recommend this to other families. FYI, no dishwasher or laundry but that didn’t impact our enjoyment.

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful location

We had a wonderful time staying in this cottage. The location was really great, being on a peninsula, and also inside the no wake zone section of the lake. We saw a pair of loons every day. One evening we saw a pair of bald eagles fly by. We hiked Mt. Mary nearby, road bicycles around and out to the conservation area, kayaked on the lake, went fishing on this lake as well as at a nearby river. The cottage itself was very comfortable to stay in. The gas fireplace was welcome on our first night, which was rainy and cold. The weather got much nicer the rest of the week. We enjoyed ourselves. Our hosts, Bill and Lori were easy to get in touch with when needed. They were very helpful both before and during our stay. Out of all the places we have stayed at over the years, I would put this one in the top 5.

Enjoyed Lake Life!

We had a great time at the cabin. Bill and Lori are terrific hosts. They provide helpful information before and during our visit. The property is lovely. We enjoyed kayaking, chatting around the fire pit, relaxing on the screened porch overlooking the water and playing games. Highly recommend the maple ice cream from Eldridge Family Sugar House – we went 3 times!

Great Family Vacation in Freedom NH At Bill's Place

Perfect Vacation spot!

This rental was all we expected and more! We have already rebooked for next summer. The beach, Firepit, and dock are nicely spaced out. It feels like home, the owners were so amazing to deal with, when I had a few questions. The screened deck was perfect for the one rainy day. The neighbors were separated never even saw them. The water was perfect being within the no-wake zone. We are a family of three, with a tween, and were joined by my sister and brother in law for a few nights. We enjoyed ourselves without tripping over each other. Use of the Kayaks and canoe was great! The Swim raft has reclining seats and table, can you say Heaven??? We made a few day trips and it was 30 minutes at most to the popular attractions. This home is really amazing! Bill and Lori were fantastic to communicate with and really wanted to ensure we had the perfect vacation! I can't thank them enough for their hospitality....

Peaceful getaway under the pines and on the sparkling water

The Loons! Serenaded by them in the evenings, so cool! Beautiful setting on a point of land giving you amazing views of the water in either direction. The cabin is in a no-wake zone so no loud boats or jet skis flying by. The inside was great, had everything we might need and was clean, tidy and comfortable. Had a nostalgic feel and a laid-back air about the place. Loved it. The porch is a perfect spot (and I mean perfect) to sit with your morning coffee and watch the sun rise above the trees, burning away the slow rolling mist on the water. So tranquil. We did bring our own boat, the dock was perfect and sturdy. On the other side was a cute little beach and chairs and a great raft with lift up backrests and a small table to hold drinks and such. Also there was a fire pit with sand surrounding it and chairs for chillin and s'mores! If you bring your own boat its a very easy launch at Ossipee Lake Marina nearby. You can take your boat thru a river that comes out to all the other parts of Lake Ossipee, I think there are 4-5 lakes inter-connected so we had a blast going to the sand bar and also to Long Sands out on the big main Lake Ossipee. Kayaking was wonderful down another river in Danforth Bay. Very peaceful and quiet. And fishing, yup, pretty much all my husband and son wanted to do. They fished off the dock, off the boat, off the beach and off the kayaks! Me, I prefer my fish with two side orders lol. We had my mom and sister and two friends come and stay and they all just loved the place. Plenty of spaces for eveyone. Bill was great to talk to if you have any questions/issues. We ALL loved it! so just want to give a huge thank you to Bill and Lori for sharing your beautiful lake house with us. We've already reserved it for next year!

Beautiful, Relaxing Getaway

Thank you Bill and Lori for sharing your lovely home with us! We had a wonderful vacation. The property is gorgeous with easy access to the water for both adults and littles - we brought our 7-year-old who loved swimming out to the platform. Kayaking and canoeing was incredible. The screened-in porch was perfect for game playing, and we used the grill and enjoyed the picnic table seating on a nightly basis. Wonderful communication before, during and after our stay. Excellent inside & out!

This simple, cozy cottage had plenty of room for my husband, mother & teen....even a small bonus room. Listing is very accurate, yet doesn't do the beach, porch & firepit justice. With 1 acre on a bit of a point, you have so much waterfront & room to yourself. The grill/picnic table and dock are on 1 side of the point and the firepit and beach are to the other...giving everyone plenty of room to spread out. Views out every window. We just loved it.

Cozy Cabin

We enjoyed our week at the cabin very much ! The location is beautiful and the cabin is very comfortable . We kayaked around the pond almost every day and sunbathed on the new swimming dock . There were plenty of games to keep busying on rainy days , and the outlets in North Conway are only a short drive away . Biking to the nearby camp store was also fun with my daughters . Thankyou for sharing this amazing property …. We hope to return again next year !

Great Location, Lots of Fun

Lori and Bills cottage was exactly what our family was looking for. We took numerous rides around the pond in the provided kayaks. The kids loved swimming and playing in the sand in the little beach area. The property is on a little peninsula with great views. The cabin was very clean and constantly had a great breeze coming off the water. You are only 30 minutes to North Conway and the kangamangus hwy. Lori and Bill were very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Three generations of our Family have vacationed on Danforth pond. It is truly our happy place. We enjoy paddling, fishing, and just floating on tubes In the warm, clean pond. There is fantastic mountain biking, road cycling, and hiking right out the door. It is always fun to visit North Conway for brewpubs, a burger, etc just 20 mins up the road.
