TOES IN THE SAND!!

Private rooms with shared front door, in beautifully decorated lower level living area of my town home in Virginia Beach. There are two bedrooms available depending on your needs that can easily sleep 4 people with access to a full private bathroom. I am located in the North End but close to everything - the beach, boardwalk, restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, and entertainment. I have driveway as well as street parking and have a few beach cruisers available for your use if you choose to further explore what the oceanfront has to offer.

There is no kitchen access, however, a microwave and mini-fridge are available in your space to keep your drinks cold or heat up popcorn or other snacks. A Keurig machine is also provided along with a few choice Keurig coffee pods to get you moving in the morning! A TV is situated in the twin bed(s) room which offers netflix and amazon prime for use. Two beach chairs and boogie boards are available as well upon request!

I am located 3 blocks from the oceanfront. You can count your steps to the sand. I typically don’t drive anywhere as there are plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, CVS pharmacy, grocery store, laundromat, and ABC store within walking distance. You can also use the beach cruisers for even quicker transport.

The space is meticulously cleaned before any visitors come to stay; however, I do have a chocolate lab ("Wessley") that will be kept on the 2nd level of the house and not your designated area. Unless you want him to be!

Book the property!

This property is lovely, modern, clean and comfortable (the beds are as comfortable as a 5 star hotel). Walking distance to the boardwalk and beach, which is beautiful. Chad, the host, could not be more responsive and informative. Restaurants and bars also within walking distance with all kinds of food. Book this place, you will not be disappointed. My family can’t wait to go back.

Ideal Location

Chad (host) is amazing. From spot on recommendations, to providing all essentials one could need at the beach. The property was spotless and very comfortable. There is no kitchen but there is a small fridge/freezer. I didn’t really feel the need for a kitchen with all the dining options close by.

Home away home

Since the day one Chad communicated with us and throughout the last day of staying. Beach and everything else were walking distance. Boogie boards, beach chairs and bicycles are such good addition for us to used. Me and kids were very comfortable at his home. Shower was excellent too!! We enjoyed our time with such comfort and definitely would like to go back. Thank you Chad! Definitely recommended!!

Nice digs for a getaway!

Accurate description of the property, clean, nice walking distance to beach, dining & shops frequented by locals, the manager was most attentive! When trying to find the property be aware the house numbers are not apparent - even though I grew up there/know the area I parked on the street to find the address by walking. It's no one's fault - just the architectural design! Know the driveway is almost at an intersection close to a stop sign. Access is best from the street with a number - not by the name. - it's on the right immediately before the stop sign. (When you're driving away from the beach). The setting is like being in a nice hotel with 2 rooms. Spacious, pleasant decor, nice bedding, towels, bathroom - it's a quiet.area. If you're bringing kids know that the focal points of mini-fridge, keurig with lots of pods, tv, are not in what looks like the adult room, the room with the full bed - they're in the larger room with twin beds. Bring a hair-dryer - there's no ice so be prepared to buy it or bring some ice trays.

VA beach

This property is immaculate, great location. It is very nicely decorated and up to date. It was easy to walk to everything. If you don't like being in a flight path, you may want to consider somewhere else. From about 8 am to at least 8 pm, fighter jets fly over ALL DAY LONG, usually 3 in formation. The noise is deafening but we certainly felt well-protected by any attack! The property is very well described as a "shared front door". What surprised us is when the owner comes in that shared front door and foyer, you better be decent! The bathroom and bedroom are right there and are not en-suite. I think the owner could have some kind of signal, verbal, a bell, etc., that would let you know he is coming in! It happened to us in the evening and, thankfully, we were clothed! The very next morning, we did not appreciate the owner coming down the staircase (from his space) with his dog and opening the "shared door" with very squeaky hinges - AT 6:30 A.M. So, the privacy issue needs to be addressed and don't count on sleeping in on vacation. The only other suggestion we might have for the owner is to have a tiny table and 2 chairs to enjoy that cup of coffee, that bowl of cereal, etc. There is no place to sit in either bedroom except on beds; quite uncomfortable for drinking, eating, looking at Ipad, computer, etc. It certainly seemed like the 2 beds could have been pushed together, fold-out bed moved slightly and a tiny table and 2 chairs in front of that bedroom window. We appreciated the bikes and biking along the boardwalk was great. The only problem was the large rocks where the bikes were tethered and a tree that was loaded with poison ivy. I do have a photo of that.

I loved staying at this property! Everything was perfect, absolutely no complaints what so ever. Chad is the best host ever. Great beach getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at Toes in the Sand. The place was clean and welcoming. The beds were cozy and there were plenty of towels. The kids loved using the boogies boards and it was just a short walk to the beach. Chad was super helpful with restaurant/activity recommendations.

Perfection!

I am not a good writer, so I normally shy away from writing reviews. This time I had to make an exception. Chad's place is inviting and so clean. The location is perfect, with the beach just a short walk away. Chad is the kindest host who is willing to help with recommendations at any time! He even took the time to mail back some left behind items. Delicious restaurants are as close as a block away! Go to Nick's for breakfast, you will not be sorry. The mimosas are so good! We found Virginia Beach to be one of the most friendliest and affordable places we have ever been. Go visit! Plan your stay at TOES IN THE SAND!

Perfect for a quick trip

Chad's home is awesome. It's two-ish blocks from the beach, surrounded by stores and shops, CVS, and other amenities. He has bikes, boogey boards, an area to wash your feet, and anything else you'd need for a fun beach weekend. It's clean and the rooms are spacious.

We enjoyed our stay at Chad’s. Everything we needed and then some was provided; beach chairs, bicycles, a mini fridge, Kuerig, local attractions and recommendations provided, all in a beautiful, comfortable setting, 2 blocks from the beach!. Chad was very attentive and promptly responded to any questions we had, even offering for us to call him day or night while staying at his place. We felt safe and secure to enjoy our time, not having to worry at all about accommodations. If we make it back to Virginia Beach, we will definitely be looking up Chad’s place.

Comfortable Stay

We enjoyed this property- The high thread count sheets/ nice hot shower water pressure complimentary bikes with locks and beach chairs were great bonuses! The key code door lock was great for us and our teenagers so we didn’t have to worry about lost keys etc! The host gave amazing recommendations that we we had great experiences at! Great location for a bargain!

We stayed here for a wedding at the Cavalier hotel. It was a short 0.5 miles away from the wedding which was perfect. Chad also has 4 bikes available for use. We spent the day biking up and down the beach boardwalk and we even road to the Vibe district for the Saturday market. Chad provide great instruction and the place was perfect for our small group of 3! Beds were super comfortable too which was an added plus.

Beach Getaway

Great location close to the beach, very clean and comfortable. Chad is a great host, very communicative and gave us many recommendations for places to eat and visit. While we didn't use them this trip, I look forward to using the beach cruisers in the future. We will definitely stay here when visiting VA Beach again.

Just wonderful

Very clean and quaint. Chad was very easy going and informative, always ready to help with suggestions for places to eat/things to do. The place had everything you need for a stay, especially if you’re on a budget. Loved the beach cruisers that we were able to use, we rode all around town and on the boardwalk. "Toes in the Sand" is close to the oceanfront. This property is technically classified as 'shared space' because the common front door opens to the lower level entry but I'm typically only present during weekdays but gone most nights and weekends. The entire lower level is yours to use which includes two bedrooms and full bathroom (as described and pictured) which are beautifully decorated and meticulously cleaned prior to your arrival. I make 3-4 beach cruisers available for your use as well as two beach chairs and even boogie boards for kids (or adults!) but want you to have fun. The property is less than 5 minutes walk to the beach with multiple restaurants, breweries, grocery stores, laundry mats, and multiple coffee shops within close (walking) proximately.
