About this property

The Historic Central Hotel was built in the late 1800's on the public square in Sevierville, TN. In 1923, the Hotel was destroyed by fire, and was rebuilt in 1938. President Roosevelt often stayed at the hotel in the 1940's and during his trip in 1941, he dedicated the Great Smoky Mountains as a National Park. Today it is America's most visited National Park.

During the 1960's, the hotel was converted to a bank to service the growing downtown business landscape. Today, the hotel brings back the charm of its original state with large resort-style accommodations and all the amenities you would expect from a New Hotel Collection property.

Listing Photos Not Accurate

We rented this property for Thanksgiving weekend. Upon arrival we realized that the unit we were in was completely different from the listing photos. On the surface the until was nice, but the floor was very dirty. Our socks and feet ended up black from walking around. This was concerning because we had young children crawling and playing on the floor. The bathrooms were nice and clean, and unit offered necessary accommodations like washer/dryer and kitchen basics.

Misleading information

The place we stayed in was NOT the property pictured. Floor plan was totally different! It is listed as a 3 bedroom and the third room has no door, window or closet. It is simply a room off the kitchen with a trundle bed, not the 2 twin beds as listed. We had 2 teenagers who didn’t have any privacy and anyone using kitchen woke them up. Also, listed as room for 8 but only had enough dinnerware for 4. We had to go buy paper plates to eat together. Master bath shower is small and toilet location makes it difficult to sit without knees hitting a wall. This unit was in a good location for our vacation & we did appreciate the cleanliness! Your employee at front desk was very courteous and helpful.
