Aug. 5, 2024 How luck am I to be sitting on my deck drinking my morning coffee while enjoying the cool breeze (it was down in the 50s last night) overlooking the sparkling waters of Canyon Ferry Lake with the Belt Mountains for a backdrop. Not a cloud in the sky. Very little smoke (from out of state). This week looks to be one of the most glorious of the summer. Cool temperatures are in score for this week, with the possibility of much needed rain this week end.

The ospreys that nest a few hundred yards away are teaching their young to fly & hunt. They a quite vocal. I thinking the youngster is saying “Look at me! I can fly. I can fly.”

The Horse Gulch Fire that was across the lake burned over 15,000 acres. While it is not out it is contained. It makes me realize how vast the area I live in is. There is very little of the fire remnants I can see. Most of it went east to an unpopulated area. The smoke also went east. I did drive Jim Town Road last Monday. The firefighters did a back burn. It is incredible to see burnt forest on one side of this narrow dirt road & health forest on the other. There has been a lot of work done in that area where they started the back burn so the fire moved very fast. Many trees will be able to recover.

Come join me in my slice of paradise.

Why they chose this property

After many years of coming to Canyon Ferry on weekends, I bought the property. It had a 1965 untitled double wide. October of 2018 I scrapped the property & started building. I designed a home to be multifunctional. I wanted it to be able to meet a variety of needs as live changes. With the help of some very talented people, my home exceeds every thing I could have imaged.

THE VIEWS!!! I never tire the views as they change through the seasons. For an overhead view of the area check out "CANYON FERRY ICE SKATERS" on YouTube.
We was on the subfloor of the second store watching those skaters.

What makes this property unique

I having done some traveling, I know what I like in a vacation rental. This is my second vacation rental. I had a home in Bozeman for several years. I want you to be able to slow down, unwind, relax and have a stress free vacation. I provide an inviting, well equipped property for your enjoyment. Your comfort is very important to me. The king bed is so comfy several people purchased one for their home. Our well is excellent, so no need for bottled water. I am involved in every cleaning to insure the unit meets my standards & exceeds yours.
