Some definite room for improvements. House needs deep clean. Guests should be warned that swimming in lake will likely result in swimmers itch, or kid said, “duck lice.”On positive note, kitchen is very well stocked. The dock with benches is great. House is located in a nice quiet setting.

It's unfortunate that this guest experienced swimmer's itch. Swimmer's itch varies greatly depending on the weather and wind/currents. Lac Courte Oreilles is a very big lake and we do not generally have any issues. While this guest experienced swimmer's itch, please be assured that is not always the case at my property. Please see my other reviews! This one is not the norm.

Our stay was a wonderful place to gather with so many home amenities. The setting is a beautiful lakeview with shade trees for cool breezes. Our family loved watching nature in the lake, fishing, and kayaking. Our host was responsive and helpful.

We had a great family getaway. The cabin had enough space for all is to move around comfortably. The kitchen had everything we needed! Location was awesome, and the lake was amazing. Our three year old grandson had the best time fishing. He and his dad caught so many fish! Thank you!

This property is a 10/10! My family gathered for a reunion and to celebrate a recent marriage. The house easily accommodated 7 adults and still had room for more. There are 3 bedrooms on the lower level and an addition to the property created a one bedroom apartment above the garage. The kitchen was well outfitted. We found everything we needed to prepare meals at the house. It is beautifully located on Lac Courte Orielle near Hayward, WI. As a family of fishing enthusiasts, this was perfect. We set up our gear at the picnic table and spent most of our time on the docks. It felt private and secluded even though there are neighbors on each side. There are two docks on the property and the hosts provide canoes and kayaks. It is conveniently located near town and shopping. My family is talking about making this location an annual destination. Thank you to the host family for providing a perfect get away!

Our stay overall was very good. The positives:Excellent communication by Kristy. Kitchen was very well supplied and great options for eating. Appliances were also quite good. Excellent water pressure and lots of hot water. Beach area nice and really loved the campfire area. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms in good condition. House was clean when we arrived. Location is excellent. Life preservers, washer and dryer and kayak were big pluses as well. Two areas to improve to move the rating to five stars. Biggest is the carpeting needs replacing. Multiple areas of stains both downstairs and upstairs. To clarify, there was no smell, but the stains really need to be addressed. Especially with a two and three year old crawling around. Second, clean exterior walls, entry areas and window sills of dirt and cobwebs. We have a cabin in the area and understand that this is part of the Northwoods. But when renting it to someone a higher standard needs to be maintained. Overall a positive experience and with addressing a coupe of issues it would meet all of our expectations.

Excellent stay!

We had such a good time here! We had several young children on the trip, and the swim area was perfect for them because it was large with a nice shallow depth. They had lots of fun fishing off the dock as well, and the cabin had all the kitchen necessities and toiletries we needed. Loved it!

Relaxing stay for 3 families

We had 3 families stay for the weekend. It’s was a wonderful get together. The upstairs was perfect for the kids - they felt like they had their own apartment and loved it! There were plenty of beds & bedding. The place is incredibly peaceful and gorgeous in the water. The kids got to fish off the dock and loved it.
