If you will be staying with us from November-March we require 4x4 or all-wheel drive for all of our guests to ensure you can access the property during snowfall, plan ahead of time with your rental car company if needed - they sell out fast during wintertime in Colorado! For weather delays or issues, please plan ahead and communicate with us!

There's a home on the 35 acres and a seasonal yurt, both homes are private and quiet for privacy, they are only both occupied during the Summer months. If you have a reservation for 10 guests, we can accommodate and host 10 guests on the property (instead of just 6).

During the Winter 2022 season we will have an on-site property manager for all of your plowing needs, snow removal or any emergency or late-night needs for someone! They are there solely for your convenience during the heavy snow season! (His housing is separate from the home and does not impact your stay)

Endless adventure at your fingertips while on 35-acres next to National Forest with endless hunting, amazing wildlife, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and more. Experience disconnecting with the world living on top of a mountain at 8,000 elevation with the comfort of town being only 15 minutes away.

The nearest airport is Aspen Airport, Eagle Airport, Grand Junction and the most common is Denver International. If you’re renting a car be sure you have a 4x4 or all-wheel drive for ease and ability in the Roaring Fork Valley from Nov-March. Uber is not guaranteed in the valley and I always recommend a scheduled driving service or rental car to our guests!

For the winter months (Nov-March) we require 4 wheel or all-wheel drive to access the home and mountain safely. The road is snowplowed by our team and maintained, please be aware of snow and weather for your expected dates.

Never Ending Views!
We had an amazing & relaxing time, and never could get enough of the views day and night. The house had everything we needed for our stay, the host was very responsive and answered all our questions. The house was clean, and we loved the decor. We had some concerns about the temperatures being in the mid 90's with no a/c, but you don't need it, the house stays nice and cool if you close it up mid morning. The elevation is pretty high too, so that helped. We took the exposed road that is a lot quicker to the house, it's just a quick 2 minute stretch of heart racing don't look out the side window portion of the road that my husband had no issues driving. So that is up to you and your comfort zone, the road itself is good and doesn't require 4wd in the summer. No way I'd get on that in the winter, but we are flatlanders. We rented a couple of e-bikes in town and attempted to ride on some of the trails around the house, they were a bit much for my skill level but the roads were good for riding. A must do during you stay is if you continue on the road past the house, you will come to a dead end at Lookout Mountain and it is an amazing place to watch the sunset over the canyon. It is a little bit of a drive to get to town, but if you are looking or a place to unwind and relax, this is the place! It is also a nice launching point to go to Basalt and Snowmass. We would definitely recommend this spot!

Great stay!
We had a great stay here, very comfortable for a group of 5 or 6. The views are stunning, however their is a yurt in very close proximity to the actual home. It was occupied the time we stayed and took a little bit away from our experience. Don’t get me wrong, we still had a great time and the views are amazing, just know that if you plan on having absolute privacy outside, that won’t be the case here. One of the cleanest homes we’ve stayed in and it was extremely well stocked with all of the essentials. We will definitely be back!

Modern living in a country setting!
We are from a rural part in the US so this was perfect for our stay! The property gets a thorough cleaning regularly. The hottub was clean. Not sure who stays in the yurt on the property but it was vacant during our stay. Neighbors would have been a bummer so we were thankful! The house is incredible! I do all my own house work so i know what it takes to build and maintain something this nice. I do recommend a different style grill. We cook all our own meals and being at that altitude it wasn't getting up to temp. But thats a small observation compared to how nice the views are and the general usabilty of the property!

Nice property but not recommend during Winter season
Exactly as the title suggests. The property can only be accessed through a very challenging and lengthy unpaved uphill road. Especially with low visibility, you could only go about 5mph with how close to the cliffs the road was. It certainly was a battle and we ended up not being able to exit the property for two days due to extreme weather at that time. Now obviously we chose this property because of its serenity and privacy it provides over other accommodations. Not exactly the owner’s fault but it would have been nice to know what situation we got ourselves into. While the owner was very responsive to our requests and messages the property was also really cold with a very slow heater. If you are thinking about lodging here, please be sure to be conscious of the weather and be ready for whatever circumstances you might face. My family who vistied Colorado to ski from Korea for the first time and we ended up not being able to donany activities and my parents got sick from cold due to being outside for a half an hour trying to figure out how to get the key using the provided passcode and the code was wrong. The final comment is that the property itself was pretty. I liked the atmosphere of the house and the huge trash can.
