Pornanino is a magical and tranquil place. Our hosts Francesca and Matteo were thoughtful, kind, helpful with local suggestions. Central location, perfect for day tripping around Chianti/Tuscany and then relaxing around the pool at the end of day! Accommodations was clean, spacious, homey and well equipped!

Idyllic location, excellent hosts and great holiday

We have had a brilliant holiday at Pornanino. Location is just as advertised and has been so relaxing and peaceful as well as great for touring the beautiful Tuscan countryside and towns. An hour or so from Florence, Siena and San Gimignano. Francesca and Matteo are excellent hosts. Can’t recommend enough.

Wonderful Holiday

I would highly recommend! This property is in a very peaceful and picturesque location. It was a perfect retreat from the busy-ness of normal every day life yet close to the villages of Castellina and Radda in Chianti. Francesca was welcoming and very helpful with advice on where to go and help with restaurant booking etc. The property itself is maintained to a high standard and is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay.

A hidden gem

Tranquil, peaceful and a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Pornaino is tucked away in the middle of the chianti countryside with outstanding views and beautiful flora and fauna. Francesca and Matteo make you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive and could not be more helpful. The tour of the olive mill is a must for anyone who enjoys true olive oil! Bellissimo.

Das Haus ist top, liebevoll ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Die Vermieter (Francesca und Matteo) sind sehr freundlich, immer erreichbar, besser geht es nicht. Der Pool ist sehr groß ebenfalls top. Hier kann man super entspannen.Empfehlung: Matteo gibt eine Führung durch die familiäre Olivenmühle, incl. Sehr hilfreichem Wissen rund um Olivenöl - absolut empfehlenswert!

Abgelegen und genau wie beschrieben

Das Anwesen Pornanino besteht aus drei Häusern, von denen 2 vermietet werden. Diese beiden Häuser teilen sich auch den Pool, der relativ groß ist und mit 1,15m Tiefe sich auch super zum Ballspielen eignet. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben ausgestattet. Insektenschutz ist ein absolutes Muss, denn es wimmelt von Ameisen, Bremsen und Tigermücken. Die Zufahrtsstraße ist eine Katastrophe und mit einem tiefergelegten Auto nicht passierbar. Tigermücken.

Francesca, die Besitzerin, auf der Aieda lebend, hat von Begin. An super mit uns kommuniziert; perfekte Unterlagen über die Gegend/Restaurants/ etc. Das Häuschen ist für 2 Ehepaare in Ordnung… man sollte sich gut kennen - das 2. Schlafzimmer unter dem Dach hat keine Tür, kleine Bädet, aber perfekt gepflegt. Highlight der Anlage ist die selbst bewirtschaftete Ölmühle, in der Olivenöl in einer Reinheit produziert wird, die wir bisher nie erlebt haben (trotz viel Erfahrung). Es ist geschickt, mit Francesca direkt Kontakt aufzunehmen

Pornanino Perfection!!

Wonderful host family (Francesca, Matteo & Beatrice). A very clean, comfortable, peaceful & nicely appointed home for two couples. Perfectly located in the heart of Chianti Classico. Loved my morning walks through olive trees, woods and aside vineyards. We all highly recommend & would love a return visit.

Lovely Place

We had a fantastic stay at Pornanino. The house is a little paradise surrounded by olivetrees and the tuscanian hills. Francesca and Matteo were always friendly and helpfull and gave us excellent advises for our holidays at Tuscany. We lerned so much about olive oil - it completely our view of the green gold 😊. Un séjour magnifique

Nous sommes arrivés à Pornanino et avons été accueillis par Francesca, la propriétaire, qui nous a fait un tour de la propriété. L'endroit est retiré et est propice à la détente et au calme, tout en étant à proximité de Sienne et des principales attractions de Toscane. La maison que nous avons occupé est décorée avec goût et d'une propreté irréprochable, offrant tout le confort pour passer un excellent séjour. La propriété est équipée d'une magnifique piscine, qui est très propre et permet de profiter du soleil Toscan. Chaque maison permet d'avoir son intimité car elles sont orientées différemment et pas à proximité immédiate. Francesca est une personne magnifique et généreuse qui nous a, avec ses excellents conseils, permis de découvrir la région et ses pépites. Matteo, son mari, nous a également fait une visite très instructive et appréciée de leur moulin d'huile d'olive. Les deux propriétaires sont très discrets. Nous avons passé un séjour reposant, magnifique et n'hésiterons pas à y retourner. Encore un grand merci à Francesca et Matteo pour leur dévouement et leur amabilité.

What a paradise!

We’ve just had a fantastic week at Pornanino. The house was beautiful and well-equipped - ideal for a family of 4/5 - and the surrounding garden especially the pool, is idyllic. If you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded house in the middle of the gorgeous Chianti countryside then I can highly recommend this one! In addition to that, Francesca the hostess was so welcoming and helpful from the beginning of the booking process to the end of our stay.

Alles war 1a: Das Ferienhaus, die Ausstattung, die Umsorgung durch und die Tipps von Francesca, die Abgeschiedenheit umringt von Olivenbäumen und Weinbergen. Nur bis man aus der Abgeschiedenheit heraus war, dauerte es ein bisschen. Jeden Tag 45 Minuten bis nach Siena machste nicht.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Francesca et Matteo. Un vrai coin de paradis très bien situé en Toscane proche de Sienne, San Giminiano et des villages de Radda et Castelina tous deux très jolis... La maison est grande, bien équipée, parfaite pour une famille avec deux enfants, la piscine est très agréable et le jardin enchanteur avec cyprès toscans, oliviers à perte de vue. Idéal pour les amateurs de calme et de nature. Les hôtes sont charmants, la visite du moulin à huile (bio) est passionnante, nous reviendrons!

Best place to stay in Chianti!

I stayed in Capannino with my family for two weeks this summer and had the loveliest holiday. The stunning scenery made for a relaxing background to a beautifully decorated cottage. We loved how rural and quiet the place was, and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you Francesca!
