Escape to Cote d'Opale

After our summer 2020 plans to Africa were cancelled we found this gem in Cote d'Opale. It was a wonderful find, the weather was magnificent and the house well equipped for our large group (we were 17 but there was still space for more). The place was close enough to home, that friends could come for short time and the hosts were extremely accommodating, arranging for fresh linen as our guests changed. The area is fascinating with loads to do - from history to beaches , or just staying at the house, playing pétanque and having long summer barbecues. A magic 10 days, and still lots to discover! Mooi gerenoveerd kasteel met voldoende slaapplaatsen en goede bedden. Goed uitgeruste keuken en zeer ruime eetplaats met salon. We logeerden in een mooi kader in een rustig dorpje. Ideaal voor wandelaars.

Merci pour le plaisir que nous avons eu de découvrir cette magnifique demeure et son parc si bien entretenu ... Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux. Mes 8 petits-enfants avaient toute la place qu'il fallait pour courir, jouer au foot, au badminton, à cache-cache, organiser des chasses au trésor ! Et un terrain de pétanque pour tous. Les commerces étaient assez proches, surtout la boulangerie près de l'église. La demeure est spacieuse et confortable. A 17 nous étions plus qu'à l'aise. Décoration simple de bon goût. Assez de vaisselle pour 25 personnes. Bref, génial, à recommander.

Cuisine pratique et très bien équipée, beaucoup d'espace pour tout le monde, beau cadre. Au cours des années nous avons vu les propriétaires faire des améliorations très utiles : 2 nouvelles salles de bains/douches supplémentaires au premier et une nouvelle terrasse devant le château pour prendre l'apéro et le café. Avec le soleil qu'il a fait, c'était parfait !

Feels Like Paradise

This house is such a wonderful place. It was better than we expected and the hosts, Suzy and Bernard, are absolutely reliable, caring and lovely! The interior of the house is so well conceived. Especially for a bigger group of people. The park around the house welcomes you with old trees, flowers and the terrace invites you to have a rest outside with the group. Also the barbecue had the perfect size, as we were a group of 23 people to celebrate my 40's bday. The kids had much fun in the park and also the field for playing boules was in use. Enough spaces to park cars in the shadow as well. As I said, this beautiful little piece of paradise is very well-conceived...

Nous avons fait un Team building en un groupe d'architecture de 11 personnes et nous en gardons un excellent souvenir. Pour certain d'entre-nous c'était une surprise et elle a fait son effet, tout le monde était épaté par la beauté des lieux. La propriété est magnifique, le nombre de salles de bain et chambres nous on suffit amplement, avec un décors très charmant pour chacune d'elles. La déco est encore authentique et en excellent état, nous avons aimé ce côté ancien qui donne tout son charme à l'ensemble de la demeure. (pour ma part les 2 sdb, surtout celle en bois donne un côté exotique et l'autre me rappelle ma grand-mère, j'adore ce style, c'est dépaysant) En ce qui concerne la propreté, les employées de nettoyage font un excellent job, pas une seule tâche ni poussière, la literie utra propre et confortable! La cuisine est très fonctionnelle et spacieuse pour pouvoir cuisiner en groupe. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons fait une séance de yoga au coucher du soleil, c'était une bouffée d’énergie d'être en contact avec ce magnifique jardin. De plus, super contact avec le propriétaire, très réactif, très sympa, organisé, un point très important pour faciliter notre arrivée. Aucun point négatif, QUE DU POSITIF (sauf juste que nous aurions voulu rester plus tard que 11h le lendemain.. nous ne sommes pas des "lève-tôt" et la nuit fut animée ;) Conclusion: Ne changez rien ! Nous avons envie d'y retourner l'année prochaine et les années suivantes...:) Essayez de garder cet esprit vintage car trop moderne tue l'authenticité et l'âme des lieux n'aura plus de sens.

Nous avons eu un bon weekend à Nielles avec toute la famille. La silence, les couleurs d’automne dans le parc, les chambres agréables, des salles de bains rustique et propres. Attention la cuisine est avec une cuisinière à induction.

Ce week-end au Château du Bon Plaisir fut tout simplement parfait. La cadre idyllique et le splendeur du château ravissent les yeux. Les lieux sont magnifiques et les propriétaires en prennent le plus grand soin. Un week-end magique

Il règne une atmosphère magique dans ce château, parfait pour se retrouver entre amis ou en famille. Tout y est cosy et confortable dans un décor magnifique datant du début du siècle dernier. On n'a pas envie d'en sortir! Et pourtant le parc vaut lui aussi le détour avec ses grands arbres majestueux. Un très beau moment partagé!

Quel endroit sublime. Nous nous sommes réunis pour fêter les 80 ans de notre mère, le choix ne s'est fait que par internet mais après une première visite, nous avons adhéré tout de suite. Le batiment, le cadre mais quelle surprise en ouvrant la porte. Waouh!!! Les invités ont été tout de suite séduits, un endroit spacieux, une propreté irréprochable enfin tout...les propriétaires très sympathiques. Pour résumer, n'hésitez pas venez, réservez sans aucune hésitation.
