Offering a serene woodland setting with views of Moose Pond and the slopes of Shawnee Peak across the lake, this two-bedroom-plus-loft home in Bridgton provides a tranquil home base for your summer and winter adventures in Western Maine. When the weather is warm, you can cross the street to reach the lakeshore, take out the provided canoe or one of the two kayaks, and enjoy a quiet paddle across Moose Pond from the seasonal dock (typically available between mid-May and September). Come winter, you can cap gorgeous days of skiing and snowboarding with family tournaments around the foosball and pool tables in the loft, a night of board games and hot chocolate, or a cable or Netflix movie playing on TV with popcorn popping in the fully equipped kitchen.

The interior is cozy and comfortable, with large windows in the entryway that frame the lake and Shawnee Peak, soft leather furnishings and a flatscreen in the living room, and a washer/dryer and WiFi for your convenience. There's also a small deck with a gas grill, allowing you to prepare dinner with the twinkling lights of the illuminated ski trails visible across the water. At night, you'll find one bedroom with a queen-size bed on the first floor, another bedroom with a queen-size bed on the second floor, and two sets of twin bunk beds tucked into an alcove in the open loft. There's also a half-bath downstairs and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination that's accessed from the loft.

What's nearby:
This home is tucked into the trees, just across Cedar Drive from the eastern shore of Moose Pond. Although this is not a lakefront property, you'll still have access to the waterfront and the seasonal dock across the road. Shawnee Peak, the longest operating ski resort in Maine with 40 trails, seven glades, and three terrain parks, is only two miles southwest and visible from the house. You'll also be only five miles west of Bridgton's town center and 22 miles east of renowned outlet shopping in North Conway, New Hampshire.

Things to know:
Full kitchen
Dog-friendly for a nightly fee
The two sets of twin bunk beds are in the open loft; there is no privacy door
* Please note that this home is not directly on the lake; it is across the street from the lake. You will, however, have access to the waterfront and dock; the dock is typically put out in mid-May and removed in September (depending on weather)

The house was beautiful and clean. The view was awesome. Had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay. Few things to be aware of: the front entrance and patio needed swept, covered in a lot of cob webs and debris. Lights going to the upstairs did not work. The bath tub faucet does not work. When having children, you need a bath but only the shower worked. Had to fill tub by shower faucet which took some time. But besides those things, our experience was great! Beautiful place!

August Summer Trip
Nice quiet location near lake and mountains but accessible to more crowded North Conway for shops of hiking . Dock and swimming were excellent even if across the road that had minimal to no cars. Lake was clean and fishing excellent in a kayak and canoe that were supplied by the owner. Dog friendly and nice road to take walks on. Note: Does not have A/C (as noted in the description) and we had a hot week, brought fans to cool the house off during the day but was still pretty hot. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Moose pond Lake Daze heat
We enjoyed our stay very much but there were a few things that could have made it more enjoyable. We stayed during a heat wave so the day we arrived the house was extremely hot as there was no Air Conditioning. Luckily we brought fans and there were a couple that came with the house along with ceiling fans. Air conditioning would be nice or at least sun blocking shades in the large windows. At night there were little black bugs that got into the house somehow and were all over the sinks. Also the outside property could use some cleaning up and trimming so the beautiful view of the mountain and pond could be seen better. It was nice having access to the canoe and kayaks. The pond was beautiful except for the weeds and debris by the shoreline. All in all, aside from the heat, the house was clean and comfortable with plenty of room. Would have been nice to have a larger deck though. The road was nice and quiet with very little car traffic.
