4 bedroom, 2 full bathroomMoose Pond lake house that overlooks Pleasant Mountain. Enjoy the unique view of a pristine lake enveloped by a mountain in your own cabin nestled in the woods. The house has 4 bedrooms and also has four couches plus a queen sized futon. The house can comfortably sleep ten people. The house has WIFI, a washer and dryer, two 50 inch flat screen TV’s with cable and a gas grille. Enjoy the lake and the water sports. House comes with kayaks, a canoe, a sunfish, a floating swim dock, and also has its own private beach. There are boat rental companies that you can rent boats from and you can tie the boat right to the dock approximately 15 yards from the house. Enjoy your favorite cocktail or roasting marsh mallows at the end of the dock. The nearby towns offer movie theaters, restaurants, bars, golf courses, hiking trails, and local lobster. Shawnee Peak is a ten minute drive around the lake. The back yard looks directly across the lake at Pleasant Mountain, home of Shawnee Peak Ski Resort. House is 7.9 miles away from Shawnee Peak and is about a ten minute drive. Please inquire for more details.

We stayed here for a long weekend and had a wonderful time! The house is cozy, spacious and had everything we needed. The views were incredible and the dock was perfect for the boat we rented. The host was attentive and available. Would absolutely recommend this house for an upcoming vacation.

We had a great stay at the cabin on the lake. Plenty of room for all of us and lots of gathering space to hang out all together. We loved cooking in the kitchen and hanging out on the dock. Fun time all around!

Christmas on Moose Pond

My husband wanted to try something different this year and rent a house for the week of Christmas. We found this property and it fit all of our needs based on number of rooms for the family and friends that would be joining us. Being our first time renting off VRBO, I can say that we definitely overpacked for the trip. This house had everything we needed and more. I guess I didn’t need to pack my own martini glasses, lol. The house is great and has many areas to hang out as a group or have some space if you need any “me” time. The location was great, nice and secluded in the view of the pond was probably my favorite part! Will definitely rent here again if the opportunity arises.

We stayed in March and rented the property for a family B-day gathering and ice-fishing - caught salmon, small & largemouth bass, and yellow perch. It was a great location on the lake, close to Fryeburg and North Conway. The house is very functionable, spacious, clean and lovely. The description and photos are very accurate online. Great mattresses as everyone had a great night rest. The host, Andy, was very responsive, accommodating and flexible. Truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property. Relaxing week on Moose Pond!

This is our second year renting this house, it is the perfect place for our family to gather on Moose Pond! The accommodations were more than we could ask for, the space in the house was perfect. The house was clean/homey/well stocked inside and out and nestled in the woods in a quiet spot with plenty of parking. Sitting out on the dock in the sun, swimming off the dock, floating on our floats, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, cooking on the grill, relaxing around the fire pit and playing games at night is our perfect family vacation. The location is perfect with a short drive to the town and grocery store. We brought our Bass Tracker fishing boat and docked it right at the house, boat ramp on 302 was great for putting the boat in. The kids really enjoyed fishing around the Moose Pond. The sunrise and sunset views over the mountain were amazing. We cannot wait to return again next year! If you're looking for a place to just relax and enjoy nature this is the place for you. The owners was very friendly/helpful.

Beautiful view of the lake

The cabin itself was in a beautiful location. Beautiful view of the lake. Comfortable beds. The cabin itself could have used some cleaning. The couches were filthy. We found a broom and swept and cleaned up the porch, put together the fire pit and pulled out the grilling equipment. In a way we all felt like we were opening the family camp for the year. For the amount we paid we would have expected a little bit more cleaniness. When we arrived there was an “instruction” manual and it stated that they do not provide toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, or gas from the outdoor grill. We had to leave and go get some supplies. Again, for the price you would think that these things would be included. I have never rented a property that didn’t provide basics like toilet paper and trash bags. I think the most disturbing thing that we all were a little upset by is the security cameras. It was not advertised in the ad and we felt like we were being watched which made us creeped out. The host was able to tell us how to use the oven, when we were having issues with it but then the communication stopped there. I sent a few messages and never heard back. It wasn’t the worst stay I’ve ever had but I don’t know if I would come back to be watched on camera. 😬

Perfect Lake Vacation

The house was 3 levels with plenty of space for family of different ages to spread out. The home was well equipped especially in the kitchen. We loved the outdoor space and walking steps to the beach and dock. There were paddle boards and canoe for use. We enjoyed our four days so much we want to go back next year for at least a week.

Glorious Moose pond

I am a Mainer, born and bred. I am sad to say, this is the first experience at Moose pond but it won’t be our last. The property is perfect for my family of 10. We enjoyed the remote and quiet location right on the waterfront. Have you ever heard complete silence??? Heavenly. The home is very comfortably furnished, lots of seating and space. Lounging is welcomed in this little retreat. The kitchen is well equipped. It was just a wonderful time away. Andy is a gem to work with!!!!

I purchased this home in 1982 and have made many wonderful memories with friends and family over the years. I live in Baltimore but get up to the home every summer and often make it up for a trip in the winter to go skiing and sometimes in the fall. We started renting it out 4 years ago and have really enjoyed meeting new families and hearing about their Moose Pond adventures. Most of the families have become regulars and we enjoy sharing the home and providing a place that lets families make memories.
