Everything was just as described. Wonderful relaxing location with easy access to Bridgton. The house was ready to go with the necessities. What a great lake! Bald eagles, loons, and more!! Our family very much enjoyed the use of kayaks/boats, swimming in the lake, and the small beach area was perfect!

Perfect Lakeside Cabin!

This is our second visit to this cabin and once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was such a peaceful and relaxing experience. We watched the beautiful sunsets and gorgeous fall colors while sitting on the beach, and enjoyed evening log fires inside this lovely, rustic retreat. The owner has done a wonderful job of appointing the cabin and providing guests with most everything they need. This is a real gem and we hope to come back soon!

Lovely Getaway

We had a great time at this cabin with our three children. The screened in porch was a wonderful place to look out at the lake over meals and listen to the loons in the evening. There were plenty of games to pass the rainy days we had and we were really able to disconnect. The property owner answered us promptly despite a family emergency.

Peaceful and private camp!

We loved everything about our stay here and only wish we could have stayed longer! The host was accommodating and responsive. The cabin was rustic (in the best way), clean, cozy and exactly what we needed to just unplug and disconnect. Our 18 month old loved playing in the sand and splashing in the water. Dogs loved it just as much as he did. The camp is in the perfect location so the sun hits the beach in the afternoon and shines on until sunset. When it got a little chilly at night we had a fire in the fireplace which worked well and added another bit of coziness to the trip. We were even able to take the canoe a short paddle to the park across the pond where theres a playground and trails. We hope to return next summer!

What I hoped for and more

We rented for three nights and upon arrival my 14 year-old went out to the back, looked all around, and said “I have no words”. It was just lovely. The cabin is cozy and the screened in back porch is the crown. My 11 year-old loved sitting out there surveying the landscape and drawing. My 9 year-old loved sleeping out there in an inflatable bed we brought. And of course we had all out meals out there in view of the lake and mountains. The boys enjoyed fishing and kayaking, as well as swimming in the lake. My partner turned prepping the fire pit into an art form and I was psyched and surprised that the entire property is covered in blueberry bushes! We had a wonderful time. My only “complaint” was that I didn’t know we weren’t supposed to drink the tap water because it comes from the lake. If it’s in the online description, I didn’t see it - so maybe make that more prominent? Thankfully, we read the welcome binder within the first couple of hours and went to Hannafords for bottled water. If you’re thinking about renting this cabin - do it! You won’t regret it - it’s the Mary Poppins of cabins - practically perfect in every way.

Another great week at Rumery cottage - kayaking, swimming, floating, reading, napping - we couldn't have been more relaxed. The location is ideal - close to town, the supermarket, the drive-in theater. Staying-put at the camp is equally ideal - great sandy entry into the water, everything is very clean & comfy. Hope to stay again next summer.

We had a wonderful stay at the Rumery Camp on Moose Pond in Bridgton, Maine. The camp was clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable — we slept very well! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the grill was perfect for outdoor cooking. They provided plenty of firewood and had a great campfire setup for us to enjoy evenings by the fire. We loved having access to three kayaks and a canoe, plus fishing poles were available for use. It was so convenient that they even included toiletries in case you forgot anything. The location felt perfectly secluded, giving us the peaceful feeling of being away from it all, while still having friendly neighbors nearby. Getting into the water was easy, and it really felt like having our own little island. The host was exceptional — incredibly responsive and accommodating to our needs, making us feel truly welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Their attentiveness and kindness added so much to our experience. We would definitely recommend this camp to others and would happily stay here again!

An absolute gem

Repeat visit, this time with our four month old daughter! As perfect as last year! Deb is awesome, super responsive and very helpful. The camp is a wonderful escape. Nice to just slow down and enjoy the gorgeous scenery - Pleasant Mountain is right there! Our daughter loved the sandy beach, playing in the pond, and hearing the loons. This is the spot on Moose Pond. We hope to return every year!

Beautiful Spot

We stayed at the Rumery Camp for 5 days and it was a little slice of heaven. My husband and I brought our two golden retrievers who literally swam all day every day in the sandy beach right outside the cottage doors. At night we sat out on the screened in porch and listened to the loons. It was a perfect and relaxing get away!

Relaxing week!

We had a relaxing time on Moose pond. Rainy most of the week but able to get some time outside kayaking and fishing on the lake. The house is a quintessential Maine camp and the property is beautiful overlooking Pleasant Mountain! Fireplace was nice and worked great (not smoky) following the owners instructions. Our pup enjoyed her initiation to SUP boarding. Thank you for a wonderful time.
