About this property

Charming Waterfront Cabin with Mountain View and Private Beach Access!

Unplug and relax at this quaint rustic cabin that is very private and relaxing. Sit on the screened in porch and watch the beautiful sunsets and enjoy the view of Pleasant Mountain. Our private Sandy-beach is great for kids to play and swim safely in the shallow water. One of the first cabins to be built on the pond, we are one of the only properties with an actual sandy beach. To top it off the property is situated on a peninsula surrounded by water, with space to dock your boats, or paddle out in our 4 single person kayaks and multi-person canoe provided for your use. You can also rent additional kayaks, paddle boards and other water crafts easily minutes down the road with easy access to the public boat launch.

This charming cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, small oven/stove, microwave, drip coffee pot and other cooking essentials and dishes. Outdoor gas grill provided. The kitchen is open to the Living room with vaulted ceilings centered by a large brick fireplace for cooler nights. Two bedrooms can sleep 4 comfortably (One bedroom has a double bed, the other bedroom has two twin beds). One rustic bathroom with a shower stall. Additionally there is a screened porch with table and chairs and seating available to listen for the loons and owls or to see the eagles!

Amenities include wi-fi access, but we encourage you to unplug for your stay and grab a book or play a board game, (cable is not included). Enjoy evenings making s’mores over the fire pit. Inside there is a fireplace for cooler nights or chilly mornings. There is a dock to tie up your small motor boat, and plenty of space to park smaller paddle boats. Just a short 15 min drive to downtown Bridgton for indoor theater, drive-in movies, restaurants, antique shops, and stores including Reny's and Hannaford's. Nearby trails for hiking and sight seeing. Family-friendly Pleasant Mountain is only 5 minutes away. 45 minutes to North Conway for outlet shopping and additional hiking options, train rides, and Storyland. Golf course and tennis courts nearby. Great spot for viewing fall foliage and sunsets, and close to the Fryeburg Fair in October. The cabin is also an easy commute to the Stone Mountain Art Center if you would like to take in a show while in the area.

This is a seasonal rental June through October. Rental price varies during peak season (July - August).

Relaxing week!
We had a relaxing time on Moose pond. Rainy most of the week but able to get some time outside kayaking and fishing on the lake. The house is a quintessential Maine camp and the property is beautiful overlooking Pleasant Mountain! Fireplace was nice and worked great (not smoky) following the owners instructions. Our pup enjoyed her initiation to SUP boarding. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Tranquil oasis
This camp is lovingly cared for and it shows. From the moment you walk inside you will be met with a home that is comfortable as it is welcoming. The large windows give you an amazing view of Moose Pond and pleasant mountain even when you're inside. I spent most of my time on the screened in porch taking in the amazing views and wildlife. Everyday numerous hummingbirds would visit the feeders hanging off the porch. We also saw a bald eagle who would frequent the pond in the late afternoons and on some days we would be fortunate to hear the loons calling. Our rescue dog had the time of his life and was so sad to leave. My husband did some catch & releasing fishing and caught small and large mouth bass, and a pickerel. This place is magical and has everything you need to unplug and recharge. It is somewhere we will never forget and are thankful to have experienced. Thank you so much.

Quintessential Lakes Region Cabin
My wife and 13yo daughter were looking to get away to the Main Lakes Region, wanting a simple camp/cabin with direct access to the water - the pictures online captured our attention and I can say the actual experience upon arrival was even better. Bridgton is a great little town in the middle of a fun Maine region (easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, etc from the camp). The bedrooms worked perfectly for the three of us, the kitchen had everything we needed (plus the propane grill) to enjoy some great meals. We loved sitting on the porch to relax & read, to eat our meals. Access to the water was great, we even took the kayaks out a few times to explore Moose Pond. Would highly recommend a stay here for a small group/family, we hope to return in the future!
