Beautiful home in Meteora

Beautiful home in Meteora. The rock formations are absolutely stunning from any angle in the town. It's a 10 min walk to the center to have a nice bite to eat..

This place was far from luxurious. It had wallpaper peeling from walls. The shower downstairs had mold and peeling paint on the ceiling. We had 7 guests and two of the guests slept on what was supposed to be a pullout bed. It was not. We had to borrow a sheet and pillows and blanket from other rooms. We were paid up in full, but the host tried to extort 30 more Euros in cash from us. He said it was for tax. So why was needed in cash? Interesting? The only thing this place had going for it was the location. VRBO you better check this place out. At least change the name from Luxery to maybe tolerable.

Location was great and the views were amazing. Easily walkable to town or the trail to hike the monasteries. It was a little hard to find but we were able to call the landlord right away and get the correct address. It is nice but very basic and not necessarily luxurious but was roomy and had everything we needed. Not knowing we had to turn on the hot water heater and that we had to pay some sort of tax in cash were the only 2 hiccups.

Generally good, but could use a few items that were short like mugs and wine glasses. Also both showers need some work, one a longer curtain the other licks from the base. Just basics.
