Views were 10/10! Saw so much wildlife. There’s a beach just to the left of the place, we walked there at low tide and saw several starfish under the bridge. So many dolphins all throughout the day! Even saw a fisherman catch a sting ray off the beach right next to the condo! We have a family of 6 and cooked in most nights, lots of pans and kitchen supplies. Plenty of space for all of us. 2 pools were nice as well! It was a really functional and pretty space to stay in.

Beautiful Condo in Sanibel

We had an absolutely amazing time in Sanibel. The condo is in a great location and we really enjoyed fishing off the pier. We had wonderful weather so we took advantage of the beautiful beaches and definitely plan on returning. Thanks so much Kirsten!

Love this place!

The location was ideal for our family - close to the beaches, restaurants, shops etc - but right on the water with an incredible spot for fishing, the private fishing dock was a big hit for us. The views are amazing, and we saw dolphin pods every day and even a manatee! I highly recommend this spot for a family. Very clean and nice and plenty of other stuff to use (beach chairs etc.). There are also two very nice pools in the complex, tennis, shuffleboard etc.

Sanibel fishing trip

This beautiful condo on the water was so relaxing. We enjoyed eating breakfast while watching the sunrise over the bay. My husband loved watching the tarpon roll in the backyard! The location was great for our boat as it is so close to the marina. We had a great time fishing out back too. We had a wonderful time and hope to return next year! Thanks for renting to us!

Great bay access

The condo was great. The location was easy to access from the causeway. The beds were comfy. The lanai provided awesome views of the water and was great for wildlife viewing. A view to die for!

The view was spectacular. It was awesome to look out in the bay and see dolphin swimming or pelicans perched nearby. The condo was wonderfully equipped even though we ate out at many of the local restaurants and enjoyed lots of suggestions given by owners. The island is simply beautiful and this condo puts you close to it all. The owners checked in with us at every step to assure a wonderful stay. We can't wait to go back! Something for everyone

How do you describe a perfect vacation? Comfort, relaxation, sun, fitness and fun! That is exactly the experience we had at this wonderful condo. From beautiful sunrises, tennis, laying at the pool, shuffleboard, fishing, and more. The view is breathtaking and watching dolphins play Is priceless. The hosts provided everything we needed for the beach, living and great recommendations about the island. We made so many memories and will definitely be back.

A little piece of heaven.

This condo is located in Mariner Pointe overlooking the bay between Sanibel and Ft.Myers. It is a fantastic location with views of the bay filled with birds and Dolphins. The unit is very comfortable with a master bedroom and two small bedrooms. The third bedroom has bunk beds. We had a couple of minor problems which the owner responded to quickly and completely when we contacted him by email. Mariner Pointe is a great location with a board walk and fishing pier on site. It's hard to beat!

Excellent choice

We were very pleased with the condo, location, and how easy the owners made check-in and check-out. The condo looked to be recently updated and had a well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed having my coffee in the morning while watching the sun rise, beautiful view. Enjoyed the location, although there is no beach, the view from our place was perfect and it is only a short drive to the lighthouse which is my favorite beach in Sanibel. I rented a bike for the week a head of time from Finnemore's and it was there upon my arrival and they picked it up on departure. All around great vacation. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great location, bare bones but livable.

The condo is small, the neighbors are very nice and friendly. The supplies need to be reviewed. Many coffee cups but three tall glasses for four people. Paintings fell off the wall because hung with one hanger. Towels were old and stained. Just needs a dust up.

We just purchased a new king Icomfort Serta for the condo and now have two very comfortable king beds in both rooms. The canvas painting in the second bedroom was moved in the shuffle. It only weighs a pound and we thought it should hang okay on one hook... apparently not. (We will add another right away) The condo is fully stocked. Some of the most recent additions; a new sofa sleeper, new table & chairs, new king Mattress and headboard. We also just purchased a Keurig coffee maker and new utensils for the kitchen. The condo has a great floor plan and is furnished to scale, however when/if you add two fold-away cribs to the master bedroom it is going to feel pretty small. We have a constant rotation of new towels and it sounds like we need to pull a couple out of the mix ;) Thanks again for staying and the feedback, it helps us make the condo as liveable and comfortable as possible for future guests.

Very Special Place!

Jonathan & Kristen were gracious hosts A+++++++! They were super helpful and responsive to all of our questions.They provided everything we needed- more than adequate kitchen supplies, games and recreation equipment. The pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard, and grills were well maintained and right outside the condo. The view of the bay is amazing and quite restful. Lighthouse Beach is minutes away by car. It is perfect for children and novice swimmers because it is shallow for a long distance with no waves to fight getting in and out of the incredibly warm water! ( Unlike the Atlantic beaches we are used to in NJ, DE, and MD!) We are anxious to return!!

Perfect Island Vacation

This property was absolutely perfect for our family of 3 adults and 2 children. Our hosts, Jonathan and Kirsten, were so helpful and accomodating and gave us wonderful suggestions for our first time on Sanibel Island. The condo is a corner first floor unit and right on the water. The view from the lanai is spectacular and we saw wildlife daily, including dolphins, manatees, eagle rays, pelicans and more. We also saw the most spectacular rainbows and sunsets. The condo has a gorgeous beach theme and is well stocked. The hosts also have beach gear for guests to enjoy. We look forward to returning and making this our annual Sanibel Island getaway. Thank you Kirsten and Jonathan!

Great with beautiful views,but small.

We had a great vacation here! The view from the window is amazing! And we loved having 3 bedrooms and a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Unfortunately, we have 4 kids so we felt like the living space was really tight,not a lot of furniture to sit on and the couch was very uncomfortable. The master bed also was very hard and we bought a mattress cover just so we could sleep on the bed. The freezer also was not working well. The condo was in a fantastic location just off of the Causeway and 5 minutes from Lighthouse Beach. Overall, a few things that could be improved, but a nice place.

The Master bedroom has a new comfy Serta Icomfort hybrid mattress that most guests rave about. We did discover that the ice box was jammed due to a crisper box put in wrong causing the freezer to defrost (than refreeze) . This has been repaired.

Great Family Vacation Spot

We really enjoyed our vacation on Sanibel Island at Mariner Pointe Condo. The accommodations were perfect for our 4 adults and 2 children. The view of the Bay was the best part. We enjoyed the many amenities at the condo; tennis, swimming pool, fishing pier, canal fishing, and close to bike path. Paul, the property owner was always VERY helpful with booking and questions regarding our stay. The onsite manager, Dave, was always very friendly and happy to help with our requests. We would highly recommend Mariner Pointe and this particular ground floor unit. We have already booked our stay for 2016! We would also recommend Bailey's grocery delivery. We ordered our groceries 3 days in advance and when we checked in our groceries were put away and we didn't have to waste time grocery shopping while we should be vacationing!

We enjoyed our stay at Mariner Pointe. We picked the location because of the view and it lived up to our expectations. The location was a good one... easy to get all directions on the only. Particularly convenient to Gramma Dot's, the Lighthouse Beach and Pinocchio's. We made use of the boardwalk and did see a few dolphins and a manatee during our stay. We had five people and the three bedrooms were nice... allowing for individual space. We would consider this unit for our next stay in Sanibel. A few suggestions would include better lighting -- especially on the enclosed lanai and bedrooms, freeing up closet or cabinet space in the second bedroom (neither were usable) and an upgrade of bathroom linens. We did also have an issue with the clothes dryer consistently working during our stay. This unit at Mariner Pointe was as advertised and contributed to our wonderful week in Sanibel.

Thank you so much for the great review! I just returned from staying in the condo and was able to locate the outlets that the light switch controlled in both bedrooms. We now have lamps controlled from the switches in both bedrooms (great suggestion - thx!!) The second bedroom closet did fill up a bit but mostly from beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys etc. that we provide for our guests. Had dryer serviced when I saw this and it is working great now. The views are what sold us on this condo! We actually saw multiple dolphins from standing inside the lanai this trip!

Gorgeous

This was an amazing stay. It had to be cut short due to a tropical storm coming in. Even before our stay Kirsten had amazing communication with us. She was very thorough and great at responding with any questions we had. Mariner pointe was a excellent community to stay in. The security was strict but polite. The morning views were unbelievable. On our last morning as we ate breakfast we were able to watch dolphins swim right Infront of the condo. The beds were very comfortable as well as the pull out sofa bed in the living room. The appliances were in great condition. Being able to come home without having to do the loads of laundry was amazing. Being able to use the beach equipment that was provided also helped a ton. The pier and the walk way is where we spent most of our evenings after going to dinner. Being able to sweep and mop the sand up while being there was also very helpful to have the equipment to do so. We will return!

Beautiful Home, Disappointing Cleanliness

Let me start by saying the home is beautiful and conveniently located right off the causeway onto Sanibel. The home itself is deserving of 5 stars, and I am sure future guests will get a 5 star experience. Allow me to explain why our experience warrants only a 3 star review. We arrived a few hours before check-in. There was no sign of cleaning crew, but the door was open so we peaked in and saw the place was a complete mess from the prior visitors. We decided to make a run to the grocery store for the week ahead, after which point we came back and were able to unload the groceries into the fridge after the cleaning crew had arrived. At this point it was getting close to check in time, and they apologized for having a late start on the cleaning. We said no issue, unloaded groceries into the fridge, and left to explore the island while they cleaned the unit. We came back several hours later (after check in time), and found that the floors and bathrooms were still a complete mess. We spent several hours that night cleaning. Then, we found that all dishes and silverware had food caked on, another unpleasant surprise. We hand washed everything, ate dinner, and ran the dishwasher again, only to find it wasn't working. So we reached out to the owner to let him know the dishwasher wasn't working. That triggered a series of technician's visits, first a repairman (unsuccessful), then ultimately the installation of a new dishwasher. While we were told it was not required we stay there during the visits, we did not feel comfortable leaving all of our things in the unit while technicians came in and out. This was a bit inconvenient since it was in the middle of the beach day, both times. We had been in touch with the owner several times to talk about the technician visits, but when we reached out to discuss a potential credit to the cleaning fee, we never heard back. This was a disappointment, hence the 3 star rating.

Thank you so much for staying and the five star review for the looks and location of our property. We too feel we have a great condo in one of the best communities in Sanibel. I do however feel the cleaning comment was an unfair assessment considering we have one of the best cleaning crews on Sanibel Island. Our cleaning crew has a very limited window to prepare the unit between guests. We hope that our future guests reading this recognize the importance of the 4pm check-in time. We take great pride in the appearance and cleanliness of our bay-front condo! We want all guests to be welcomed with a clean and prepared condo to start their vacation. Allowing proper time and space for our cleaning crew to achieve this is much appreciated.

Perfect for your Sanibel vacation!

Our family of five loved this beautiful condo! It was in the perfect location for our adventures around Sanibel and Captiva Islands. The condo was clean and well stocked. The owners are kind and responsive and provided us with plenty of information for fun activities and restaurants that were a good fit for our family. It is an end unit, and it was very quiet. The views of the water from the kitchen, front room, and dining area are beautiful and so peaceful for a morning coffee, or an evening glass of wine. The back doors lead straight out to a beautiful boardwalk, where we saw manatees and and their babies, as well as groups of dolphins every day. All of us enjoyed getting fishing poles and bait from the local bait shop and fishing off the dock (no fishing license required for guests) every evening. We caught lots of great fish right off the doc and cooked a few in our condo. So yummy! Kirsten also recommended a couple fishing charters that the kids and my husband did. They had so much fun catching big fish, and even a shark, out in the ocean. The boat captains were great! We took our fresh fish fillets to the Lazy Flamingo, and they cooked them for us, with all the fixings. We also loved the Sanibel Thriller ride, around Sanibel and Captiva islands. We had several pods of dolphins jumping and playing behind our boat. We got some amazing photos! Even though it was a bit hot outside (summer), we played a few pickle ball games in the evening. All the fun toys and beach equipment were stocked in the condo. Board games too! The beaches on Sanibel are beautiful and calm. A day at the beach, relaxing and searching for shells, was just what we needed. The family time we spent with our two busy teenagers and 11 year old daughter is time we will cherish forever. There was plenty of space for all five of us in the condo, and we had all the cooking supplies we needed. I even ordered groceries delivered to the door to give us more time for fun. Next time, we will rent bikes to ride the amazing bike paths all around the island, and we will play mini golf at Smugglers Pointe. One of our favorite parts of the stay was sitting in beach chairs, on the boardwalk, directly behind the condo. We watched the fireworks over the causeway. It was an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to celebrate Independence Day! The condo was perfect for our family, and the easy access to the causeway made travel a breeze. We will never forget this great place!

We’ve been coming to Sanibel since our kids were little, and it’s always been special because of its family-friendly, laid-back atmosphere. Unlike the party scene of Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel offers a peaceful island lifestyle where beautiful beaches, wildlife, and relaxation take center stage.
