Family Oriented 4 season Cottage with Hot Tub on Kennisis Lake, Haliburton
Stunning 4-season waterfront cottage with 7'x7' Hot Tub located in Haliburton on prestigious Kennisis Lake with southern exposure for all day sun! Our cottage has a sand and rock shallow entry shoreline along with stairs for easy lake entry! We are located in a quiet bay of Big Kennisis Lake ideal for swimming and recreation or you can find deep water off the dock! Our property offers a private setting with 100 ft. of shoreline, nestled amongst the trees and stunning natural surroundings. If you are looking for a couple's getaway or family vacation look no further!
Cottage offers multiple decks with spectacular big lake views where you can always find sun or shade! Our cottage has 3 bedrooms and a 6 person max capacity.
Cottage has a HOT TUB, excellent Wi-Fi and cell phone service! Our internet is fast (FIBE), reliable and works well for all your streaming/video conferencing needs!
Included are; canoe, x2 stand up paddle boards, lily pad floating mat (6'x15'), x2 kayaks, x10 life jackets accommodating most sizes, paddles, docking space for boat/water toys, dry wood for campfire and dry hardwood for winter woodstove heating.
Living room offers ample space for relaxation with leather couches, a wood burning fireplace, 50" S.M.A.R.T. TV with firestick, along with games, cards and cottage reading. Streaming services include Netflix, Disney, Crave, Prime TV and a large selection of DVD's.
On the cottage upper deck you will find a dining table with chairs & umbrella, two Muskoka chairs and premium BBQ with propane included! On the lower deck located at the lake you will find four Muskoka chairs, two lounge chairs an umbrella and 6 additional chairs around the campfire. Our dock shed offers lawn games and an additional full sized fridge!
Our kitchen comes fully stocked with small and large appliances, utensils, full sized fridge, stove and oven ready to cook all those wonderful meals! (Cook not included)
Bathroom: Full sized with toilet and shower where we provide your hand soap, septic safe toilet paper and a first aid kit if needed.
Kennisis Lake is part of a two-lake chain (Big Kennisis and Small Kennisis) which is 25km's long and offers crystal clear spring fed water for all your adventure and exploring needs! For winter, the OFSC trails run our lake and are minutes to the Haliburton Forest private trails.
If you are bringing your own boat, there is a public launch mins up the road or you can launch your boat at the Kennisis Lake Marina. Marina also offers boat/sea-doo rentals along with Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream, coffee/Smoothie bar and a delicious food truck!
Our cottage is located on a year-round municipally owned (paved) road with easy access all year-round!
Local Attractions: The cottage is across the road from a protected 100,000-acre nature preserve called The Haliburton Forest with the main entrance just mins up the road! The forest offers a world-famous Wolf Observatory known as 'The Wolf Center', The Cook House restaurant, along with over 400km's of private groomed trails for hiking, biking, snowmobiling, ATV's and dogsledding!
Other local attractions include close proximity to Sir Sam's ski/mountain bike/spa, Boshkung Brewery and Upscale Restaurant (Rhubarb), Abby Gardens, Golf, Sculpture Forest, Cross-Country Skiing etc.!
Haliburton also offers a couple local dog sledding tour company's and we are min's to OFSC & private trails. Come explore all that the Kennisis Lake has to offer in heart of the Haliburton Highlands and Ontario's vacation paradise!
As our guests we will offer you complete privacy and consider this your home for the duration of your stay! We trust that you will treat our cottage as your own and we are also available to help guide you at any point during your stay!
*IMPORTANT* - We ask that guests DO NOT bring nuts or nut products of any kind. I.E. peanuts, pistachios, almonds, trail mix, peanut oil/butter etc. as we have a family member with an anaphylactic allergy to all nuts. Although we cannot guarantee a NUT FREE/Allergen Free environment, we do our best to provide a safe space for those with allergies/asthma.
