When we say this home has a little bit of everything, we mean it! This beautiful 3 bed, 1 bath cottage is perfectly nestled in the woods with direct access to the main road, in between Bryson City, Robbinsville, and the Nantahala Gorge. This rustic cabin has been restored and repurposed from a family home to a luxury vacation rental with the most beautiful sunset anywhere in the region.

If you're one to enjoy the outdoors, you are in luck. Less than a half-mile from the Tsali bike trail system, only five miles away from the Nantahala Outdoor Center, and one mile away from the boat ramps accessing Fontana Lake! Close to the Tail of the Dragon, you will be near one of the most sought-after motorcycle destinations in the nation. This property borders the National Forest Service, with signs posted all around. If you enjoy more of the scenery, you're also in luck - enjoy the breathtaking views from all around this house, whether it's on the ride in or just sitting in the spacious hot tub.

This home is boat-friendly, motorcycle friendly, and HANDICAPPED-friendly! We had a wonderful visit. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Property was clean and comfortable. Gorgeous sunsets!!Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked to cook a nice meal and stunning views visible from the hot tub. Hosts made excellent recommendations. We did the Wesser bald fire tower hike and tried Anthony’s pizza and both we amazing!Would absolutely return for another visit! Highly recommend a stay here!

Loved every minute!

Amazing views! The place was beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed. The hummingbirds were awesome to watch. We had a little trouble finding it but Pat was really nice and very helpful. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic Cabin w/Fantastic Views.

We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The owners were friendly, helpful, and very attentive. The cabin was exactly like the pictures. Looking forward to staying here again during our next visit to Cherokee.

Absolutely Charming

We were here for the 4th of July and found the cabin to be absolutely charming! We watched the sunset in a very clean hot tub while the fireflies blinked around us. The kids were so enchanted. We found the cabin to be very clean as well and our host were beyond welcoming and gracious. They even sent us a Spotify Playlist for the ride up the mountains. One of my other favorite features was the shower. The shower head was so much better than what you typically find in a cabin. There is also a boat ramp 5 minutes away for those that are visiting the lake. The store by the house was closed while we were there but they did still offer ice and firewood. Everything during our stay was perfect and we will be sure to visit this property again.

Anniversary trip

This was one of the most peaceful and relaxing properties that we have stayed at. The home was so clean and it had everything we needed. Make sure when you stay to read the welcome book to hear the story of the property. It makes it all the more special. You will enjoy your stay here so don’t hesitate to book. Fantastic views also

Beautiful cabin

We just spent 4 days at this beautiful cabin and we were not ready to leave! My husband and I brought our 3 children ages 12-17 and we all enjoyed it. It felt very remote, yet wasn't far off the main road. The cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We took full advantage of the hot tub in the evenings and sat out each morning to sip our coffee on the peaceful deck. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. The owners were very responsive and the communication was top-notch. We hope to go back to this beautiful spot someday.

Can't Beat the view

John & Pat were great hosts and communicated very well with me. They even gave me a few nice hiking and restaurant suggestions to check out, which we did. The view from the hot tub/firepit area is just unbelievable. From sunrise to sunset it left me in awe ! Take time to sit on the upper porch and wait for the hummingbirds to come to the feeder. If you are very still, they will stay for a little while. Very cool to witness!!!

Fabulous stay!

We loved our 5 nights here! The views from the large living room window, the balcony and the hot tub/fire pit area are gorgeous! The pictures on the listing don't come close to the in person experience. The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked and roomy enough to easily prepare our meals. We spent a few days exploring the SM Nat'l Park, another day hiking Deep Creek and another just hanging out in Bryson City. We returned to the cabin in the afternoons to rest and relax in the hot tub. The area behind the property is wild and beautiful, and goes on as far as the eye can see. This is as far away from suburbia as you can get, and that made us very happy. Communication was great and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future!

Amazing stay

My family and I were in town for the polar express train ride and I decided to book this location. It’s 15 mins away from Bryson city and 30 mins from Cherokee. It was a beautiful stay. The view was amazing. There were only a few things that caught my eye, the amount of stink bugs and lady bugs were surprising and a tad unsettling, as we didn’t want to take home any bugs. To be expected in a wooded area but definitely not what we were used to. The air units/heaters were a little difficult to operate and the hot tub was confusing as well a few jets didn’t work and it kept cutting on and off by itself. I wasn’t sure if it had a timer or what. Lastly, I wish there was more security features in the cabin. Being that we were 3 women and a child traveling, it was scary being out there in the dark with only the keypad to lock the door. BUT these items didn’t take away from how clean and beautiful the cabin was and I would definitely book again!!!!!! Thank youuuuu

Great location

My family stayed for three days after we had been in Gatlinburg, and I stayed for another three days and rode my motorcycle all over North Carolina. Nice view of mountains and especially great view of mountain sunsets. Place was furnished like a cabin, owners left good notes. We went swimming at a public area in Fontana lake. That was 5 to 10 minutes away. Fontana dam is about 30 minutes away. Tail of the Dragon is approximately 45 minutes away. I spent several days riding all over. Great location for riders ample space to park. Our family went white water rafting as well at Nantahala outdoor Center. This was approximately 15 minutes away. It was absolutely fantastic. Bryson city is about 15 minutes away. That’s where you would get your groceries or go to any restaurants. The place felt like home right away. Hot tub was nice and big. I highly recommend this place.

What a great cabin - when it says rustic, it means it. The doors are different color paints all peeled off, but beautifully stained and sanded down. This optimizes a wooden cabin feel - the chairs, the beds, the tables, even the lamps were made from wood!! So pretty! The kitchen has everything you will need to make dinner for your family. The beds are large and comfortable, plenty of towels. We left shampoo, conditioner, and detergent for the next lucky visitors. We did not use the hot tub because my children were scared of the hornets that were around it, but this is the wild lol. The sunset was amazing, we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. Lots of fun things to do next to the cabin, really had a great time with my family.

Great Weekend at Rustic Cabin

Four friends shared the cabin during our NC trip to kayak the Nantahala River. The directions to the cabin are helpful, but we still went past the driveway. You can turn into the parking lot of the old general store which is right next to the driveway. Best feature of this very nice property is the view from the back yard area. We loved sitting in the hot tub watching the sun set.It was beautiful. Though daytime temperatures were high, it cooled off in the evening allowing us to use the hot tub. Hot tub was very clean. We found the cabin to be as described. It is comfortable & has nice decor. We enjoyed the living room space for down time. The dining table & space served our needs fine. Kitchen was adequate for our needs We used the oven, which baked our brownies & seems to have accurate thermostat. Bedrooms were nice, beds comfortable.Since we had three bedrooms, one of us slept on the couch. We did use the washer /dryer which is in the 3rd bedroom- worked fine. Highly recommend this property. RIVERS END is a very good local restaurant.
