Endroit parfait pas trop loin de Tamarindo. C’étais parfait pour 8 adultes ! Stéphane nous a bien accueilli même avec du retard de notre part ! Je le recommande fortement :)

Our family of six adults had a wonderful stay at Casa Almendra. It is definitely a private oasis with beautiful landscaping. Although the property is very private, there are people who come by the house daily without notice. These people are the pool cleaner, the gardeners, housekeeper, property manager, etc. The large pool was enjoyed by all. The layout of the property was nicely designed. You definitely need a car, as the house is too far from Tamarindo to use a golf cart, and out of range for the tour companies to pick you up.

Paradise

This is a wonderful location to be. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Tamarindo with some really nice restaurants is not to far, but a car is really necessary. Very good diving spots (catalinas, bat island) are also in a moderate distance. Tibo, the concierge is outstanding friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to stay for a vacation. An a lot of wonderful animals in the garden. It’s almost perfect. We enjoyed it so much.

Really enjoyed the stay.

Other than a couple of small issues, it was a beautiful place and was a great retreat while in the Tamarindo area. First off, I want to call out Caroline, the on location property manager. She is amazing and very very helpful. She went above and beyond prior to our arrival in lining up a chef to prepare our first 2 meals. It was perfect to get there, drop off the bags and sit by the pool while a 3 course meal is prepared for you. I highly recommend that. Here are the couple of negatives. First... the listing does not clearly state that you do not have access to certain rooms. I know that it was just the two of us, but each bedroom/bathroom pod has certain aspects that would have been great to access during the stay. The largest room with the largest bed is not directly off of the pool, so the best view is from the smallest room. That bathroom is also accessed directly from the pool deck. It would be awesome to have access to that restroom while swimming to take a shower. Also, the garden pod has a really nice outdoor shower. We expected to have access to all, but only certain rooms were opened for us. I asked that if only 2 rooms would be open, I'd rather have the garden room and the master bedroom, so we lacked the ability to access the room next to the pool. It was just strange and may have influenced our decision, if we knew. Next, the dishwasher was broken. We had to leave the door partially open or it would run non-stop. We let the property manager know this, so hopefully it will be fixed. Also, the living and dining are open-air, so there are geckos that poop all over the sofas at night. I think that there needs to be a covers for these at night so that they are not stained and need to be avoided during the stay. Finally, since there are a ton of keys for this place, it is hard to lug them around. It would be great to upgrade some locks or get things keyed together. These, as a whole, are small time, but can improve the enjoyment of the stay. Everything else was amazing!!! It was nice to have a place so interesting to come back to, hang out in, and enjoy the pools, etc. I did really like the place. Small note... the palapa with the dining and living is no longer thatched like the photos. The roof has been replaced with shingles. It is more practical, but less tropical. Thank you Caroline!!!

Thank you for the appreciation on the manager of Casa Almendra. Casa Almendra has several prices depending on the number of rooms occupied; the price paid was for 2 rooms that you could choose upon arrival. I'm sorry for the breakdown of the dishwasher; of course it has been changed and we also have a new fitted kitchen. I did a lot of work at Casa Almendra and the fitted kitchen was the last in the series. I waited until everything was finished to have new photos taken of the property. Bernadette

House in nice location

The house is in a good location for us as we have friends who live in the Santa Cruz area. It has a few beaches near that you can drive to and Tamarindo is not far to drive. It is very nice and well kept and if any issues the property manager has always been a pleasure to deal with.

SUPER LOCATION

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Casa Almendra qui tout à fait répondu à nos attentes. Les photos du site sont fiables et correspondent tout à fait à la réalité de l'agencement qui est très bien pensé.Les trois chambres séparées permettent une bonne indépendance pour plusieurs couples,le jardin est magnifique,la piscine super pour la détente en fin de journée et le rancho un espace de vie génial pour l'apéro ou déjeuner à l'ombre.La collaboration de Patie et Fabrice a été très efficace et l'accueil de Bernadette très cordiale.Tamarindo a une plage sympa pleine de surfeurs et la petite station avec ces boutiques balnéaires est bien agréable.Les restos sont très correct surtout un restaurant argentin le Patagonia ou nous n'avons pu retourner car plus que complet d'américains surtout.En conclusion c'est un beau coin pour les vacances et le séjour conseillé au Carolina lodge par Bernadette et Patie a été une formidable sortie pour notre groupe.L'organisation de navette de location de voiture assurés par Patie a été très appéciable lorsque l'on ne parle pas l'espagnol et le fait d'arriver chez des français vous simplifie la vie pour l'organisation des vacances. Seul regret aurions aimé rester plus longtemps dans cette superbe villa bien reposante. Nous la recommandons à tous. Yannick ROUXEL(Bretagne)

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Almendra! The house was very modern and up to date with lots of room to enjoy the natural life in Costa Rica. The pool was fantastic and would be great for all ages because of the shallow ledge surrounding the entire pool!

Un paradis !

Casa Almendra est tout simplement un paradis. Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable avec nos 4 enfants. Ce fut des vacances extraordinaire. La Villa est magnifique, tranquille, décoré avec goût. Le Costa Rica est une destination idéale en famille. La plage, le surf mais aussi les activités incroyables dans les Parcs Nationaux où vous pouvez faire de l'équitation, du rafting, du canopy, ...Les gens sont sympathiques, accueillants et honnêtes. Merci à Bernadette la propriétaire qui a répondu à mes mille et une questions avant notre départ et à nos hôtes Claudia et Samuel qui étaient toujours disponibles pour nous suggérer les beaux endroits à visiter et les activités incontournables. Nous espérons avoir la chance d'y retourner bientôt !

Superbe séjour au Costa Rica - Février 2014

Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour dans cette villa et de nos vacances au Costa Rica. Nous nous sommes énormément plus dans la villa fort agréable, spacieuse, luxueuse et facile à vivre. La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de goût, bien entretenue, très propre, bien équipée. Villa paradisiaque, autant l'environnement que l'architecture sont idylliques, le décor extérieur est merveilleux avec le ranchito et le miroir d'eau, le jardin luxuriant peuplé de très beaux oiseaux et de plantes tropicales, un vrai régal pour les yeux et un oasis de paix. Le concept est tout simplement super : 3 modules de chambres et un espace de vie commun très spacieux permettant à une petite famille ou à des couples d'amis d'avoir du plaisir ensemble, et de se retrouver par la suite en toute intimité. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la plage AVELLANAS, au sable blanc avec son restaurant-bar sympathique sur la plage, le Lola's, point de rencontre pour assister à des couchers de soleil magnifiques. Egalement un énorme merci à Samuel et Claudia pour leur accueil, leur disponibilité et leurs précieux conseils. Vraiment formidable à tout point de vue ! Très belle propriété, le rêve !
