This was hands down the best vacation rental I've stayed at. The communication was top notch and the home is beautiful! There is plenty of space and the patio is great. Everything was extremely clean and trust me you will not be disappointed.
Can't wait for our next booking here.

Disliked: Communication
No boardwalk
The house and location were both great and beautiful but I did have to wipe the kitchen countertops down and there was a wood board with nails my bf had to put away and that was all just fine but us But there was no boardwalk or golf cart access to and from the beach .

Thank you for your feedback! We’re so glad you enjoyed the house and its beautiful location. We appreciate your patience with the minor issues you mentioned and are happy to hear they didn’t impact your overall experience. We’d like to clarify that the property does have beach access and a boardwalk to the beach, as it’s located within the Sunflower Beach Resort. We hope this helps for any future visits, and we’d love to welcome you back for another great stay! -Life in Paradise Team
Great location awesome private courtyard. Well equipped home. Nice and clean. Close to the beach right next door to the pool. Overall a great family stay. If I had to make one comment it would just be that there are absolutely no condiments or any other pantry items. Which require you to then go buy it.

Thank you for the 5-star review! We are pleased to know you enjoyed the property and that we were able to accommodate your needs. We look forward to seeing you again at Life in Paradise.
We loved this place! We had stayed here several years ago before it was sold to this rental company. It was so wonderful to be able to stay here again. We loved the pool, love the decorations and places for everyone to sit and hang out together. They had almost every single thing we could ask for, thank you for that. There was a miscommunication of the entrance code, but the staff got back with us right away and took care of it. 10 minute walk to beach, what more could we ask for?

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. It is a little hidden gem. We do appreciate your business and look forward to seeing you again soon.
The place is nicely tucked between more commercial buildings. The place felt like home. Decoration was tasteful. The description of the place is accurate. The pool was nice. Quiet. Preferred to walk the 7 min instead of drive The place is nicely tucked between more commercial to the beach. Doggie park was well maintained. Our dog loved the property so much she stayed indoor all the time and did not even want to come home. Property managers were friendly and prompt. Will recommend this place to others. Would return myself if the opportunity came.

Thank you for the 5-star review. We are glad the doggie liked the property as much as her owners. We hope to see you again soon at Life in Paradise!
Great place to stay! Loved the enclosed outdoor area- perfect for children and pets to run around and adults to lounge with drinks! Pool had several shallow sections that were great for sitting and playing with a toddler. Only disappointed was that
we couldn't rent a golf cart since since there isn't direct beach access (except for a boardwalk that has steps) which makes it very difficult to take chairs/tent/ice chests to beach (In addition, the boardwalk was not close to the house- you need to drive your car to the boardwalk and park it there) I would definitely stay here again though- we had a great time playing games at the huge kitchen table and the house is very spacious! Third bedroom ran a little warm so bring a portable fan 😁

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the amenities at the property and we hope to have you back at Life in Paradise.
The pool was dirty with the filters clogged with debris, there was trash in the washer machine, no door handle to the storm door, when the front door is locked it shakes back in forth due to it not being properly secured, a dead lizard on the vanity counter, a water leak in the laundry room almost causing my elderly grandpa to slip and fall. The sliding door to the wall in shower that leads outside was stuck allowing mosquitoes to come in. It’s a beautiful stay just needs closer attention between guest and a bit of maintenance.
No hot water at all! The pool was disgusting! There was only one wash rag per bathroom. We were a family of 5. We found a roach in one of the bedrooms. The last night there we had ants everywhere in the guest bathroom. This was definitely not a paradise for any of us! I did report the hot water issue and pool to the property management and VRBO. I was told by property management they will reimburse us for one night. That still remains to be seen. I will definitely not recommend this or this property management to anyone!

We appreciate your feedback and we are sorry you had these issues. Maintenance was sent out for the hot water issue and a credit has been issued for $406.47 which you should receive soon. We hope to see you again. Life In Paradise
We really enjoyed this single family home option for its privacy. There was a nice courtyard entrance/side yard that was private and great for our dog and to sit outside. Through a private door was the association pool, so we had both privacy and convenience at the same time.
It was 0.3 miles or 10-12 min walk down a private dirt road to the private boardwalk to get to the beach itself. We drove our car with beach stuff to the end of the dirt road which had spaces for 4-5 cars.
The only negative was that the internet speed was pretty slow given that all the TVs were Roku streaming TVs and that caused occasional buffering even when watching only one TV. There are 4 TVs but watching more than one at a time is not practical and even using a tablet or laptop while watching TV caused issues. I suggest upgrading the internet speed.
But overall a great property for 6 adults a dog, privacy and beach access!

Thanks so much for staying with us at Life in Paradise. We look forward to you staying with us again.
I brought my family here for the weekend and the property online was exactly as pictured very beautiful a lot of room and everything I expected. What I didn’t expect was to be harassed constantly by the neighbors. They said they live there full-time constantly reminded us of the condo rules. The pool is attached to my condo cool and I knew it was a community pool and the neighbor came over while we were enjoying our time to remind us the rules at 10 am and that it wasn’t our private pool. Then later in the afternoon came over again to tell us they just came to shock the pool and reminder about rules once again snd that she’s protective over the property and the owner doesn’t clean the pool she does. I loved the condo but the neighbors made the experience a pain and uncomfortable I wish there was more privacy and probably won’t rent again since the neighbor says that’s her full time home so she’d be there if I were to ever go back. I wouldn’t rent here if your looking for privacy and a relaxing experience

Thank you for the review. Please call us directly for your next stay and we will be happy to chose the perfect unit for your needs. We have units with private pools.
We look forward to your return to the island.
This was a decent place to stay. One of the walls in the pool was knocked over. I stayed for almost a week which during that time it was not even touched, so we were unable to use the pool. Beach access is a little far. Coil in dishwasher is out and in general needs to be replaced along with the dryer. The dryer is full of sand, embedding everything with sand. The floors were not clean. With that I would actually still stay here! The building/condo is really unique in its layout.
The pros: lots of privacy, seclusion, and space to spread out. It's a gorgeous little home with comfy beds and nice furniture.
The cons: no lights in the pool, some lights out in the rental itself, and the boardwalk to the beach is not handicap friendly (lots of stairs).
Overall it's a lovely property and we probably would stay again. This is a great place to spend some time with friends and family. Just be aware you will probably have to drive to the beach if you're not fairly fit and able to do stairs.
We enjoyed our stay. Convenient location.
Improvement recommendations...
*All of the mattresses were uncomfortable, need to change these.
*Grass in court yard was overgrown & needs to be cut.
*Front gate entrance deadbolt needs to be fixed, does not go for
enough into the door frame, can be pushed open.
*Front door sticks & is very hard to open & close.
* Floors, baseboards & sliding glass door tracks need to be cleaned.
We wanted a peaceful place to stay without noise from other groups. We also wanted lots of room This place didn't disappoint! We loved sitting under the lights on the deck in the evening.
Weak internet so WiFi signal mediocre at best and with no cable and raining all week w/ no beach we didn’t have a lot of options or things to do at the house.
The A/C worked well in living room and Master, but the back half of house was significantly hotter then the front so our kids had to sleep in living room.
It rained a lot through out the week and we noticed a significant leak in the back bedroom via the exterior door of the room. We called to notify property management company, they arrived to look at it and said there was nothing they could do about it & the owner of property needed to fix it. He said, “I know that’s not what you want to hear but there’s nothing I can do about it, I can give you an extra towel to put down on the floor.”
The water from the leak puddled approximately 50% of the room floor so that room was unusable during our stay.
The house was clean, but the property itself definitely didn’t meet our expectations, especially in the pool area. We couldn’t find the light switches for the pool area in the evening hours. There were overgrown weeds, the pool gate was held up with a bungee cord wrapped around a bush. Overall, the exterior of the property needs an overhauled maintenance program.
The master bedroom bed mattress was very uncomfortable and left us with aching backs. It was a sleep number mattress, but it must have been the first model as it was horrible. There was an ironing board, but no iron and we called to inquire if there was one and we couldn’t find it and they advised they don’t require their homeowners to provide an iron, so we had wrinkled clothes during our stay as well.
The customer service from the property management company was very poor and not very helpful with anything.
As we were preparing to leave the day of check-out the cleaning lady showed up early and asked to use our restroom, that was concerning and unprofessional as we were still in the process of packing up. A few minutes later she proceeded to let herself in without knocking, which of course frightened our children as there was a stranger in the house. I had to ask her to wait outside as we finished up and unfortunately had to ask very sternly after she refused.
Overall, if the homeowners took immediate action and invested in aforementioned items & found better Mngt. this place would be great, but as it stands, currently I could never rent this property again nor would I recommend it
INCONVENIENT
A neat property tucked away down on Mustang Island. Nice accommodations and amenities. Was perfect for our group. A request to enhance the WiFi coverage at the property; otherwise, just what we needed!
