1830’s Log Cabin

Very unique property. The logs are from a cabin built in 1830. They were transported here and reassembled. This is a very rustic cabin. Be ready to step back into the 1800's It is equipped with a small frig, microwave, Coffee pot. Otherwise it is like a cabin on the frontier. No running water in the cabin but a full bathroom with shower, toilet and sink[there is no room in the cabin for a bathroom] Cabin is 17x18 feet standard size for a cabin o the frontier.. There is a double bed in the loft with a ladder access to it and trap doors leading to stairs, Main heat is a fireplace but also a small heater to help warm if it is cold. Several fans are provided to help cool but no air conditioning. Just added a shower and toilet in a separate outbuilding. Heater in the outbuilding

Born and raised in New Orleans I moved to the Northshore of the Lake in 1995 I am currently semi retired. I couch rugby at a local high school and volunteer for several historical groups. My cabin was a labor of love and now I want to share it with others. Originally started renting it during covid. It became very popular people seemed to love the rustic and original feeling the cabin.
