This rental is so spacious! The host is so friendly and makes sure you’re all set. Everything was clean and ready to go. If you’re scared/cautious about potential Midwest severe weather, this is a great place to stay to ease anxiety!
Overall a very good experience. Only complaint is that you can hear the people upstairs walking and that’s how we woke up in the morning. Very kind hosts and a clean space!
Easy check in/check out. Pros: friendly hosts, apartment is close to everything, hot water in the shower, comfy bed, super soft towels, stocked bathroom and kitchen (didn’t need to use anything in the kitchen besides coffee maker) host left a few bottles of water in the fridge which was appreciated. Cons: basement has a funk that smells like litter box and dank basement, shower curtain falls just by slightly touching it, tv is older so the picture is more pixelated/blurry than a newer model. Bed could use more blankets in case you get cold, box fan provided but could use a deep clean, we did see a cockroach which freaked us out. This was our last night of a 3 night stay. We shook all our clothes out and then packed it back up and took it to our car so all we had to do was get up and go in the morning. I let the host know and they informed me that have an exterminator that comes every few months and the next visit in within the next week (June 2026). Drive way parking wasn’t offered as a car was parked in the spot our whole stay so we just parked on the street. Front of house definitely doesn’t look like the pics and needs cleaned up. You will hear them walk around from about 7a until Midnight (we stayed Friday-Monday, Monday being a holiday , so maybe they aren’t up as late during the week)
We had a wonderful stay and everything we needed was available. The owners were wonderful and provided excellent communication.
When are in Kansas again, we will stay here.
We had a great time at this beautiful and cozy home! I will 100% be returning next time I come to Lawrence. The home owners are so kind and great communicators. A MUST STAY!

the owners were there to meet me and were very very helpful
absolutely recommended,,thanks for everything
This is a great place, not too far from campus. I walked (1.7 miles) to the game on Saturday after a great night's sleep.
I look forward to staying here again.
The apartment was clean, attractive, and close to the places I wanted to go. The hosts are a lovely couple who are committed to their guests comfort. I really enjoyed meeting them and wouldn't hesitate to book this apartment again.
We literally only needed a clean place to sleep while we were in town for one night. This unit fit the bill. Approach was a little confusing as I had forgotten this was a basement apartment, but host was very friendly and eager to help. Outside of property could be a little cleaner, but unit itself was spotless and fit exactly what. Do wish the couch was a little more comfortable, but we didn't need it.
Very close to KU and 23rd which has lots of restaurants. Small, but clean, and big kitchen. Basement of a home and owners live above/laundry in other basement area- so you do hear that as mentioned by other reviewers. We didn't spend a lot of time there as we were moving my kid into an apartment, but very nice people and bed is comfortable. One note: entrance ceilings and shower are very low so it is hard for anyone over 6 feet tall.
