Girls Getaway!
We just spent 4 nights at this wonderful home on Kiawah. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us, with room to spare. This house has so many gathering places within it that we barely even left the property so we could experience all the space! The outdoor deck is perfect for afternoon cocktails and music, the large dining room table was great for brunch and card playing at night and the den was perfect for morning coffee and conversation. The owner, Sam, was so accommodating and helpful with all instructions and suggestions for things to do in the area. He was always pleasant and quick to reply. Would definitely stay here again!

Just Perfect!
The tendency when looking at places to stay at Kiawah is to gravitate towards the pretty pictures with the most modern décor styles, but I’ve found that there are things that matter and some that don’t. To start, you won’t find a more gracious host than Sam Hunt. You’ll find it in the little things like the numerous assortments of pillows to make sure you have a comfortable night’s sleep, or the best stocked kitchen on Kiawah. The architecture of this home has a way of making sure there is a nook for each of those special family moments to happen; whether it’s a vicious game of monopoly or the grandkids painting on the porch with their grandmother. I cannot wait to come back!

Wonderful experience!
I vacationed with 3 dear friends at this lovely home on Kiawah Island. The place is beautiful, the beds comfy, and the deck is the best. The deck and deck chairs were the only things not perfectly clean (because they are outside!) but a simple wipe down with a wet paper towel and all was well. Our host Sam was so helpful with communications and we especially appreciated the recommendations when looking to spend a day at the beach. I would absolutely stay here again!

About the host

I have been coming to Kiawah since 1962, when my parents bought a house on the Island from Mr. Royal. It was a jungle island then, with a rickety wood bridge, dirt roads, 12 houses on Eugenia Avenue by the beach (many are still there), and incredible nature. We have loved Kiawah and the Charleston area. There is never a dull day.

Why they chose this property

Our house is a sunny, comfortable, refuge next to quite lagoon on a quiet street. Waking up each morning and seeing the fish jumping in the lagoon out of the glass bedroom sliding doors is a beautiful start to the day.
