Cozy 2 bed/2 bath rural home with full kitchen is located in Nicholson a short drive from downtown Golden & Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The property has off road parking for 2 vehicles and trailers. It is adjacent to a Moonraker bike trailhead and a short drive from KHMR, Dawn Mountain Cross Country ski area, skating lakes and Golden Golf Course. With access to ice fishing, snowmobiling and an 1 1/2 hours of Glacier, Yoho, & Banff National Parks it is the perfect mountain getaway.

Our property offers you spacious accommodations with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master suite is an open concept loft with ensuite bathroom and clawfoot tub. There is another full bathroom (with walk in shower)on the main floor across from the second bedroom. additional sleeping space is provided in the main living area on a pull out couch, The house provides you with a large living space ideal for entertaining your whole group. It is equipped with TV/Satellite/Netflix?DVD player and movies; There is a games nook stocked with games and books, which also doubles as a work area for anyone "working from home" while staying with us.
The wood burning stove and rustic decor complete your mountain retreat experience. The property has a large open kitchen with bar seating for 4, and all you need to cook up a gourmet meal for your group.
Outside you can enjoy views of Mount 7 from the raised deck or large yard with fire pit.
Gudjonson Getaway is suitable for couples families and small groups.

We live next door in our full time home. You may see us, our kids and pets moving around the property, but we recognize that this is your vacation so we limit our interactions with you - please don't wait to ask us or our co-host if you require assistance.

If you love nature, you'll be very happy here. The home is very cozy and warm on cold winter nights. Summer here can be very hot but the house stays cool and comfortable even without air conditioning. There are lots of outdoor spaces that you can enjoy during the summer months.
Golden BC offers unparalleled outdoor opportunities - it is an outdoor Mecca with access to world class skiing (downhill, cross country, Helier ski, back country - you choose), mountain biking, white water rafting, ice fishing, snowmobiling, hiking and much more. If you have had enough of the outdoor adventures our small town is minutes away offering a variety of options for a post activity meal or beverage at one of the locals owned restaurants or bars. There is no public transport in Golden or the surrounding area. We are a short ten minute drive from down town.For cyclists our property is adjacent to the Moonraker mountain biking trail network or you can ride the shoulder of HWY 95 right into town.
