July trip

It was really fun!! I rented it for my friend who was visiting from NYC, and I and my friends slept over a few times and had plenty of space to organize our belongings, such a nice front yard to chill in, and it was such a cozy little space in a quiet little neighborhood. Really appreciated how easy everything was once we got here.

4/10 Poor

The kitchen was equipped with a microwave and sink. The hot water in the shower was almost non-existent and I fear if it wasn't for gravity the water would have not reached the ground. The bathroom exhast fan did not work and was disloged from the ceiling. You could not use the trumble bed without rearranging the furniture. The mattresses were extremly uncomfotable. Overall for 2 guys there to play softball, it works. Don't bring trhe wife and kids. She will make you find a new place. I almost forgot, it does include a pet lizard!

Comfortable, quaint suite

Very cute outdoor area, the neighbors have a lot of plants that attract birds, butterflies, and squirrels. Nice private entry. Clean and quiet. Only one bed, however, there was a small futon that folds down as a second sleeping area, I was under the impression there were two beds when I booked the room. The futon was alright since I camp fairly often and am used to less comfortable sleeping arrangements. Overall, great stay and would definitely recommend!

Perfect space, great host!

Sharon was a great host! She was kind and always very responsive to our needs. We arrived during a record cold spell. No sooner than I asked her about the temperature she was knocking at the door with a clean comforter. FYI The walls are a little thin if you're on business and need absolute quiet? but we knocked one night to ask for a bit of quiet at night and the noise stopped right away. I would definitely recommend this rental and we definitely plan to stay again.

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Honestly, there was nothing to like except maybe the little table outside the door. There are NO locks on room or bathroom which is completely unsafe and especially since there were people occupying the room directly next to mine who were talking loudly the whole time and I'm not even sure they were suppposed to be there as the listing said "You will have the entire home to yourself, other than any guests of your own" There is NOT a kitchen and it is NOT on waterfront even though the and says both. The portable window a/c unit is so loud you wouldn't be able to sleep even if locks were added, and on top of it all it a terrible odor. After a 12-hour drive, I had to find another place to stay and ended up missing the first morning of the event I came for, was going on no sleep for what I did get to attend. And on top of all that, the owner is refusing a refund saying its the rules and they are stated in the confirmation. i have searched everything and it says no such thing. I am now having to provide evidence, statements, and photographs just to get my money back. As if the whole ordeal wasn't bad enough. HORRIBLE PLACE - HORRIBLE SERVICE and NO APOLOGY! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Good place for the price

Accommodations were good. Especially considering cheaper price. 4 stars instead of 5 because place is comfortable for 2 people, not more as advertised. There were dead bugs and very dirty under the bed ( my son dropped his toy so I had to go under the bed and get it). Futon is extremely uncomfortable to sit on, can’t imagine sleeping on it ( but bed is very comfy). AC unit tube that connects to outside kept falling off. Walls could use some painting, just looks unkept the way walls are now. You can hear everything going on in the main house, so it’s like going to bed in a house while everyone else is still up and making noises, note we were trying to go to bed pretty early though because of early mornings, noises stopped at a reason time, I’d say by 10pm. Decor was very cute. Loved the area because easy access to everything. Thank you.

Thank you for your review, the futon has been replaced and the walls have a new coat of pain on it.
