We absolutely loved our stay here. The views were magnificent, the property gave us a lovely walk. Though we were in the area for an event, we were very happy to have some down time to enjoy all of the space and quanquility. Functionally, it was one of the best stocked vacation rentals I have ever stayed at. Everything you could want in the kitchen, convenient towels for the hot tub, lots of maps and info on things to do. Nicole is an extremely thoughtful host and it showed. Oh, and while this is a bit off the beaten path(wonderful!) the directions were perfect and it was super easy to get to. Price-wise, it was a little steep for 2 people (but the only thing I liked in our needed locations, so worth it to me), but the house comfortably would sleep/sit/dine 12-14 and its a steal if you have even 5, much less 12-14- it would be perfect for a small family reunion or similar. We hope to get back:)
We were 6 strangers attending the nearby Highland County Fiber Retreat. This property was 15 minutes from our venue and was a lovely place to rest and regroup.
We went with several others, some who had been going to the area for almost 50 years. The entire experience was wonderful! Extremely clean, well stocked, views were awesome. The owners checked in to make sure everything was okay. We have already decided to return next year for additional days.
House was nice and clean and so welcoming. The location is beautiful and skygazing is awesome when sky is clear. Love everything about it! Nicole is a wonderful hostess and very accommodating. We cant wait to come back next year!
The property is secluded and very comfortable. You just sit out on the front Stone porch and enjoy the beautiful view of the valley in front of you in the mountains and listen to the stream.. we felt like we were at our grandma’s house so comfortable and very spacious.
A beautiful place! Second time staying there for hiking Via ferrata and Seneca Rocks. Owners of the house are extremely nice and accommodating. Will be back likely next year.
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your vacation home. It was a wonderful base during the Highland County Maple Festival. We plan on coming back in a few years and hope to stay here again. We appreciate that the house was dog friendly and all the amenities.
The hosts are amazing and the property always is fantastic. Always clean, quiet, beautiful. We enjoy staying every time and we recommend highly to anyone looking to have a relaxing getaway.
We had a blast staying hereThere is so much nature and things to doOn a rainy day we took the kids the next town over to the discovery museum , and we saw several caves and waterfalls. Not to mention the creek running down the mountain on the property. On our last day there was an amazing lighting storm over the mountains. I recommend this place for anyone who wants a quiet relaxing vacation.
Owners were wonderful, the best stocked home I have ever stayed, had everything you could possibly want and more, peaceful, secluded, a hidden paradise!
