Everything was very clean, and cozy. The view was outstanding. The kitchen had everything you could need! The boathouse was very nice also.Overall our stay was wonderful, and we are looking forward to coming back to our favorite Lake Caddo!
Thoroughly enjoyed our extended weekend getaway at this place. Multiple areas to relax. Utilized the canoe numerous times. Watched the sunset. Highly recommend.
Very enjoyable, quiet and relaxing stay. Sam and Lize are great hosts who made us feel right at home. This location is fairly remote with stores or restaurants 20 to 30 mins away so just bring what you need. We even had some luck fishing from the boathouse on a rainy day and caught several nice crappie.
This was our 2nd time staying at this property, and we'll do it again next year. The house has just about everything you'd need, and it's clean & comfortable. It being on the lake made our stay super convenient & extremely enjoyable. I can't wait to go back next year!
From my DIL.....It was so peaceful! The birds and squirrels were my favorite part hahah! The dock was fun ee enjoyed fishing! The house was cute and spacious! They had books and movies! The property was lovely and had seating all around! Our morning coffee outside was wonderful. Such a quiet, relaxing, and magical weekend away!
This property was great. It has everything and more that you will need and want for just a weekend stay or a long week stay. Great lake access with a great dock that you can dock your boat, fish off of, or just sit and enjoy the great lake views. We fished for 4 days straight all over the lake and caught our biggest fish right in front of the dock here. The owners are just next door and will help with anything you may need. We cant wait to get back.
Host was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back! The dock is spacious and relaxing to be on and the view is wonderful, the house was very comfortable to be in.
Place was perfect for a fishing trip. The dock was amazing and the boat ramp was close. The house was super clean and cozy. Absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Caddo lake.
Beautiful property, quiet, no distractions. Short 22 min drive to dining, state park, and boat tours. If you want to do nothing and enjoy nature, this the place!
We had such a relaxing stay. It is tranquil with a private fishing pier. The owners were so helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The perfect place if you are looking to get away from it all!
My husband, 2 boys and I stayed here over Spring Break for a close to home getaway. We had a great time fishing on the dock and exploring the area (Big Pines Lodge has amazing food and live outdoor entertainment). The kitchen had everything you might need and the owners were nearby to assist with check in and the luggage lift. Keep in mind if you are in a big truck the turn to get to the property is very sharp. The only down side were the mattresses, they're all extremely firm but we didn't stay in them long anyway. We will definitely stay here again and catch another sunset on the dock.
Loved our brief stay at Gator Lodge! I stay at my family's place down the road for few months out of the year, but we had family in town and needed more space. If you're looking to come to Caddo, you can't beat this location for the best of Caddo. (I'm probably biased, but the views from this part of the big lake are stunning -- positioned to catch every sunset over the water on the Big Lake.)Gator Lodge is great for a classic Caddo cabin experience -- modern amenities with the way the lake felt growing up. The dock/outdoor spaces here are incredible as well. If you want a boring house rental that could be in a big city or anywhere, go elsewhere. If you're looking to really feel like you're at Caddo, come here. Highly recommend!
Liz and Sam are amazing hosts who were receptive to our needs. We had a glorious day of cooking for Thanksgiving, then canoeing, fishing, hiking, campfire, and more. Caddo Lake is eerily beautiful; perfect!
Very comfortable. Everything you need to relax away all your stress.
Beds were so comfortable and cozy. Views of the lake from the kitchen!
The dock has breathtaking views of the lake
Loved every minute and hated to leave.
Comfortable beds, clean shower with good water pressure, and cold AC. Bonus was being able to overlook the lake from either the deck or back room of the home. Or just watching the squirrels play in the trees. The stairs may be too steep for the elderly or those with bad joints. Would stay here again if in the area.
The hosts were so nice and the place was perfect . We put our boat in the water easily with the boat ramp so close to lodge. Beautiful sunsets from the deck and great fishing . Thank you Lize and Sam
We absolutely loved Gator Lodge! Sam and Elizabeth were so kind to us and the cabin was just as advertised. We enjoyed the privacy, the view and that the cabin was impeccably clean and neat. We'll be back and highly recommend it!
We loved it, beautiful sunsets view from the pier. Took our boat out to cruise the lake. Boat slip was nice to keep from having to load the boat up from each trip. Would stay again.
This is a wonderful cabin for a quiet retreat. From breakfasts on the deck overlooking the lake to afternoons on the dock watching the world go by, you can’t ask for a better property. The hosts are very responsive and made sure we had everything to make our stay memorable. One evening as thunderstorms rolled through, the host stopped by to ensure we were safe. Also, Jefferson, with several nice restaurants and shops, is worth the short drive.
