The Painted Pony Cottage at Leg Up Stables is located on a 300 acre horse farm in the heart of the beautiful Genesee Valley. The cottage offers charming amenities to make your equine inspired stay truly unique including a tack room and a remodeled kitchen. The cottage is perfect for those wishing to travel with their horses or those interested in being immersed in a horse's experience. Our horse farm provides riding lessons all year long. We have facilities to ride inside and outside in all weather conditions. Ask about a guided tour of Leg Up Stables which is home to nearly 80 horses.

The Cottage:
The Painted Pony Cottage at Leg Up Stables is a one-bedroom home that has recently been remodeled and offers a private cozy and comfortable place to stay. The cottage includes a full eat-in kitchen, a comfortable living room, and a bedroom with a queen bed and bunk beds. An air mattress is available for additional sleeping arrangements in the living room. The Cottage has parking for two cars and a horse trailer. We have a fire pit in out expansive lawn and lots of areas to run around.

Holidays in NY

Our family went to see our uncle and aunt who live in Scottsville on short holiday. It was such a great location and we are farm family from Virginia so we felt so at home. Things we close and easy to navigate. Thanks hope to do it again soon.

Idyllic location!

My husband and I had a lovely experience at the Painted Pony Cottage. Beautiful landscape, friendly helpful hosts. Accommodations were clean and homey. Great place to stay while we attended the Geneseo air show!

Great Little Cottage for a Peaceful Getaway

Our young family loved our visit! The cottage was the perfect size for us to relax together. It was so peaceful and but had great proximity to many exciting day trip destinations. Kim was so nice and great to work with! Would definitely stay there again.

Small cottage that is well kept and super clean. The decor was lovely. The farm surrounding is gorgeous and was quiet. Slept four adults and dog comfortably. Would defintley stay again!!

We had a great stay at the cottage. Plenty of space for our puppy to run around and for us to work remotely while we were in town visiting family. We will definitely be back!

Had a great time staying at the cottage, which was near family who live in the area. Our pup loved running around in the grassy area outside. Cottage was well stocked and owners were accommodating. Recommend!

Quiet and Quaint

The Painted Pony Cottage was conveniently located near Letchworth State Park and a short drive to Canandaigua Lake and Conesus Lake so it was easy to explore the area. Leg Up Stables is a beautiful property, and we enjoyed our time there. Loved all the horses!

A Lovely Little Cottage!

This cottage was just perfect for our needs. We were traveling with our dogs for the first time, and our stay at the cottage helped make that a great experience. The house is small and sweet, the people friendly and the property is beautiful!

Clean and comfy cottage

The cottage was clean, centrally located to both the Finger Lakes and Letchworth State Park. Being located in a working equestrian center was a plus. The owner was friendly and always available.

Lovely, peaceful, pet friendly accommodations

Awesome experience staying here with our pups while visiting family. It is a beautiful and unique spot to stay surrounded by horses! Kim accommodated us with chairs and a spot where we could have a campfire with s’mores with our granddaughter. We hope to return!
