lovely stay in Paradise

This is a lovely unit and the description is accurate. This is an upstairs unit so there are stairs, it is not ground level. I have stayed in other units within this complex. But this unit was the most clean, welcoming and comfortable. The view from the lanai (upstairs and down) is wonderful. A few welcome items when we arrived were an unexpected treat for weary travelers. Bring your binoculars so that you can watch the whales if you will be here Jan - March. The manager was very welcoming and easy to connect with for a couple of minor issues. Questions concerns were resolved very quickly. Bathrooms roomy and very clean. Bedrooms, Beds and bedding were super comfortable. Downstairs room has a bunk bed with full size on bottom and twin on top. Actually perfect for siblings to share space. There were some well placed labels and detailed directions to make the space easy to navigate. (a little detail that I appreciated.) And the resource book about shops, activities and eateries was full of information, suggestions and ideas. Thank you Allyson and Michael for a great experience. Hali'i Kai is absolutely my favorite resort on the Big Island. Shopping, snorkeling, swimming, whale watching and golf all very close. The food at the clubhouse is wonderful. Great for experiencing everything the island has to offer, or nothing at all in a beautiful quiet place.

Location of property was great, with the view far better than shown online. Quiet area, with great walking trail along ocean. Restaurant at the pool served well priced and great food. Kitchen was well equipped, with plenty of dishes, glasses etc. Condo needed some repairs, including the damaged oven door that would not stay closed. The property manager kindly did drop off a counter top oven. The garburator didn’t work, and we needed to cleaned out other people’s food with kitchen tongs (yuck), because it kept backing up while the dishwasher was on. Unfortunately, it didn’t make any difference. Main floor bathroom sink was plugged, so we tried plunging it, but it still needs attention. Sliding patio doors were filthy when we arrived, so we had to clean them ourselves. The property manager did offer to send someone to do a light cleaning, but as we had already done it, and the rest of the condo didn’t need recleaning, we declined. Even with the negative items listed above, we would absolutely stay here again. Hopefully the next time we visit, these things will have been dealt with, and we can give the listing 5 stars.

Hawaiian Get-Away

I was looking for a place in Waikaloa shores for me and some friends to celebrate a milestone birthday - this condo did not disappoint! The location was great and the condo was a great size for 6 of us - and the views were outstanding! We could watch the whales from the condo! I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend this condo!

Beautiful property, a bit dated

The property was ready on time, and the layout of the condo is very nice. Big kitchen, nice living area with very large table and 6 chairs in the dining space. There is a bedroom on the main floor, with full bathroom, best for kids-bunk beds, but good sized. Both master bedrooms are upstairs and have very comfortable king beds, very nice full bathrooms. There is also a second floor lanai off the primary master, facing the water. The main floor lanai has a nice gas grill that we used a few times, and it was great to have it right there at the condo. The oven was not usable during our stay, but the manager did provide a countertop oven which we used successfully. If there were more than 4 people staying here that might not work as well. The Ocean Club where the pool and restaurant are located is very close walking distance, and staff is very friendly, we really enjoyed it. The condo complex is very well kept. The property manager very promptly answered all our questions. We liked being close to all the golf courses and other resorts-the location is great!
