One of the best experiences that I’ve ever experienced staying in a vacation home. I absolutely loved the host and the entire decoration and overall feel. I can’t wait to come back one day for another visit.
This is a very comfortable clean place to stay at the foot of beautiful Wallowa Lake. It is a short drive to Joseph and a short walk to the lake - across the highway. We love it here!1
This cozy cabin was by far one of the nicest vacation properties we have rented. The home was extremely clean and well stocked with all the essentials. The outdoor deck is very private and the mountain views are outstanding. The location is great as well with Joseph being just a mile away, the Tram at the other end of the lake and the Railriders right in town. Such a wonderful stay!! John and Elaine
This rental was perfect for a couple and exactly as advertised. We were able to keep our paddle boards stored in the garage, then take an easy walk down to the lake. My favorite moment was opening the window in the shower and seeing two fawns feeding off their mom right outside.
10/10 for the cleanliness and comfort. 9.5/10 for the view. We really enjoyed our stay. Location was excellent about 2 miles from town and set on a hill. The view is not full frontal to the lake, but still very nice. There is a park and boat launch area about 50 ft from the driveway across the road. The wildlife at the property was amazing! We were visited several times a day by the local deer-fawns, does and bucks, they eat the apples from the trees in the yard and a daily sighting of a lovely family of quail. We also saw a trio of Foxes on the way into town. Very happy with our stay.
This is a great location right across the highway from the lake. Town is nine miles away. Perfect for fishing or boating or just exploring the Area.

Thanks, John! Actually, the town of Joseph is less than a mile away and the town of Enterprise is about 6 miles away. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay!

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
Positive: The location is amazing, right next to Wallowa Lake. The home is great for 1 or two people and has everything you need (including your resident mule deer that love the apple trees in the backyard).Negative: When I arrived, the bed wasn't made and wet towels were in the washer. After getting in touch with the host, they let me know that their cleaner had had an emergency, but they failed to mention that the home had not been cleaned at all - a fact I only discovered upon closer inspection: food scraps in the kitchen sink, stains in the toilet, hair on the floor. The host gave me the option to come over and make the bed or to get a discount. I opted for the discount, but the host did not make good on that promise. Very disappointing. Emergencies can happen, but at least be honest about it and follow up on your promises.
We had a wonderful stay at this cute cabin. It was well stocked with many items I didn't expect to find. The furniture was comfortable and the entire place was spotless. We will be back!
Perfect house for my husband and I. The view of the mountains and lake is incredible. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the deer. We’ll be back!!

Thanks! Eager to have you stay again. Thanks for being so great!
We absolutely loved staying here. It was located right across the street from the lake with great views from the property, and only a mile from town. The photos don't do this place justice - the property is beautiful and the rental unit is so cute! It had everything we needed and we loved coming home after a day of adventuring and sitting on the deck watching the lake, and all the deer that would come into the yard. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Thanks SO much! We're glad you had such a great time and hope you come back soon!
The view was lovely & the property was decorated out a magazine. Every possible amenity was thoughtfully provided. Diane was easily available for questions. One of best VRBOs I have stayed at in the world! Hope to be back next year.
My sister and I really enjoyed staying at this bright, cheery, clean and charming place. We spent most of our evenings watching the doe, young buck, 5 point buck and twin fawns that wander the property. The views of the lake, the mountains and the teepee across the way are majestic, and at the same time so peaceful.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Pleaae come back soon!
This cabin has been tastefully updated and was a peaceful place to relax after enjoying all that the area has to offer. We had daily visits from local deer, morning coffee on the deck with a peekaboo view of the lake, and quiet nights. Location was excellent, with walking access to the dock across the street, an easy drive to the lake’s resort area in one direction, or Joseph in the other. Highly recommend!
We loved the location of this property. The view from the deck is so peaceful and relaxing. The updated home was perfect for our needs. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the town of Joseph…good food, coffee and shopping. We especially enjoyed the hike up the East Moraine. The views of the mountains, lake and wildflowers were stunning! We also did the night kayaking which was on our bucket list! Also took a day and drove to Hells Canyon. We were in awe of its beauty. Took in the painted Hills on the way home. Our first visit to this part of Oregon was unforgettable.

Thank you for coming, Kris, and I hope you can return soon!
Great location, close to the lake. We rent a kajak which was great. Also took de Wallowa tramway and did a nice hike to east peak, which was beautiful. Cabin got everything we needed. We liked that there was a washing machine for our clothes. Drinking water was supplied. Liked the relaxing chair in the living room. There's also another cabin at the grounds, which has the better views of the lake. But also the extra costs of course. Oh and we liked the deer family that came by everyday!
I would give the property an A in cleanliness. Comfort of furniture and bed , the shower and kitchen however an F in entry to driveway from highway (dangerous at night) and hard to find. One should not attempt entry from South.
Also, Diane needs to clearly mark step up into bedroom area or rent to younger eyes. My wifetook a nasty fall and we are still treating skin injuries which should heal over time without much more than cleansing and dressing changes.
