Cute cottage close to the Cashiers crossroads and not far from Brookings. Cleanly decorated and rightly appointed. Simple and easy process. We enjoyed playing cards in front of the fireplace. Enjoyed our stay.

Great place in the middle of town.

This was our first stay in “town” at Cashiers. Town is really a crossroads, but it was nice to be able to walk to shopping and food, and being at the crossroads makes it super easy to get to anywhere in the area. The back deck was a great place to relax, and the cottage itself is very well appointed and comfortable.

The Perfect Cashiers Cottage

My husband and I just experienced our second stay at this perfect cottage right in the heart of beautiful Cashiers, NC! We love this area and fondly refer to it as "our happy place" as we've been coming for 27 years! This cottage is by far our favorite out of the many places we've stayed over the years. The oversized porch with the cozy daybed swing is where we enjoyed most of our afternoons. Even in July the weather was perfect to be outside on the porch where the air was crisp, the breezes cool, and views of Cashiers Lake can be seen through the trees! The sights and sounds are so relaxing. The house is pure luxury - from the finishes to the interiors to the linens on the beds - ever detail was considered to ensure our experience was as luxurious as a stay at a 5-star resort! I can't say enough about this special place. Thank you to our hosts, Laura and Mark for their gracious and talented approach to hospitality. We will be back again and again.

Wonderful Stay

We had the best weekend getaway at cottage 88. The location is perfect. The cottage was cozy and very clean. Love the fireplace and how easy it was to use especially with the cold weather. Can’t wait to stay here again. The hosts were amazing to work with!

Cozy cottage with excellent beds

This cottage has a modern rustic chic charm right near the center of town. Many of the shops and restaurants are within walking distance. It was a great value for us. It was more economical than the nearby hotels. We travelled in the Fall and definitely took advantage of the fireplace. As we near retirement age the quality of beds becomes more important. So we were thrilled with the nice beds that allowed us a great rest and a pain-free wake up! The owner has thought of everything.

Long weekend

Property is great, overall. If 4 people need to take showers consecutively, you may need to be fast! Biggest issue with this property is that check out procedure (10 am checkout) requires you to wash and dry all sheets before leaving. Which means you need to be up around 7 to start the process. Washer does not hold all sheets in one load. It really is a problem. They could solve this by using a second set of sheets on hand and washing sheets offsite between reservations.

We purchased 35 Bustle Ln in 2017 and loved it so much we purchased 88 Bustle Ln (right next door) in 2020. Cashiers is beautiful year round and we are so fortunate to be here! We both grew up in NC and after living all over the country are finally back home.
