Fantastic private cozy cottage!
What a lovely stay we had here! This charming cottage was perfect! Super clean, easy check in & owner gave rapid responses to questions. Beautiful property with stream in yard & tons of rhododendrons. Very private & quiet. Incredibly beautiful fireplace too! Thank you for sharing your sweet cottage with us!

Decent stay
The home is nice, comfortable and clean. The check in process was a mess but I believe the owner is fixing it.

Romantic Mountain Retreat
This is an immaculately kept mountain cottage with every convenience. It backs up to a lovely stream and has a back deck looking toward the stream. Plus, it’s only 2 miles from the town of Cashiers, which has a wonderful array of restaurants, hiking trails, and great shopping.

About the host

My children grew up playing in this magical mountain stream in a backyard covered in lovely, soft moss, surrounded by ancient Mountain Laurel & Rhododendron. We now share with you and know you will love the peace and tranquility. While one cottage is set in the woods, nearby (but not in earshot) is a second cottage with the same floor plan, should you need 4 bedrooms instead of 2. Each bedroom has a king and it's own full bathroom & closet.

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location:
Once you get your bag unpacked, there is no rush to decide if you want to enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the peaceful stream and forest, or hike along Spring Forest Road that goes all the way to the top of the mountain called Cow Rock. Maybe you'd prefer to get your tee time at one of the many golf courses nearby. Make reservations way ahead of time for neighboring Canyon Kitchen at Lonesome Valley, or reservations at The Library or The Orchard Restaurant. Drop in for lunch or dinner at Cornucopia on Route 107, or enjoy Slabtown Pizza, a local favorite with killer chicken wings and salads. Highlands is a 20-minute jaunt to a quaint little shopping village on US-64. Stop along that drive at gorgeous Whiteside Mountain where you can see the next county over on a clear day.
