Great location, great place but sensitive neighbours

Thierry’s house is amazing. Beautiful, well maintained, with a lovely garden. The location is perfect for exploring the champagne houses of both Reims, Epernay, and everything in between. There is one drawback for groups of friends like ourselves: the neighbors are very sound sensitive. Thierry has had to hang dB-meters inside and outside, and we still got complaints from the lady next door even though the dB-meters indicated no high sound levels. It did slightly restrict our feeling of freedom, so take that into account when booking.

This home has a lot of plusses such as location and some finishes but also many minuses. It was wrongly listed as 3 bedrooms. It would be considered a 2 bedroom at best by American standards. There were only 2 toilets and neither was en suite. You have to go out into the hall to get to a toilet from a bedroom. The towels are small, very old, worn out, and don't dry. Washcloths are not provided. You have to beg for heat which is remote controlled off premises by the owner who doesn't speak English. We were 3 married couples. The place would have been well suited for 2 couples. But a lot of space for 2 couples. The vegetation was much more overgrown than was shown in the VRBO listing. Centrally located between Reims and Epernay. Vineyard view was nice.

Superbe maison avec énormément de potentiel. Manque un peu (beaucoup!!!) d'huile de coude pour améliorer les lieux.Le chauffage du dortoir reste un gros problème puisque piloté par le propriétaire à distance. 18 (après réclamation et malgré 2 hausses de 1) pour le petit c'était vraiment juste. Les fenêtres n'ont été ouvertes le matin qu'1/4 h pour aérer et le soir le temps de fermer les volets quoiqu'en dise le propriétaire sur la base des détecteurs d'ouverture de fenêtres. Autres points négatifs : - quid des caméras dans la cour et le garage : léger sentiment d'observation à distance?- la salle de bains du rch où la porte d'accès à la douche ne s'ouvre que de 30 cm environ. Il vaudait mieux l'enlever - la vaisselle en nombre suffisant : très vieillotte comme en atteste la corrosion des verres (cf photo) et disparate (mais cela on s'en fiche un peu) est très dispersée. Les couverts devraient, quant à eux être changés - cuisson : mise à part une cocotte minute, les rares casseroles ne sont pas adéquates pour cuisiner pour 13 personnes, 2 ou 3 autres (faitouts par ex) seraient nécessaires.Points positifs : la cheminée, bien évidemment, les 2 salons très agréables, la literie confortable.Pour faire un résumé, et je me répète : endroit avec un énorme potentiel inexploité et superbement positionné entre les vignes de Champagne et Reims

Belle et spacieuse maison, magnifique emplacement, mais mériterait un peu plus d'entretien

C'est une belle et spacieuse maison. Les enfants ont beaucoup d'espace pour jouer. Les terrasses du premier étage offrent une vue magnifique sur les environs. Le jardin est également très agréable.Un bémol : la maison n'est pas parfaitement entretenue. Tout n'est pas propre (d'épaisses couches de poussière dans certains placards). Dans la cuisine, on trouve un fouillis d'assiettes, de couverts, de verres, de casseroles, de couteaux… On a tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et manger, mais il y a beaucoup de vieux objets et tout est mélangé.Un point important à noter : dans notre cas, le prix n'était pas correctement indiqué sur l'annonce. Un tarif élevé est appliqué pour le week-end (vendredi et samedi) et un tarif réduit pour les séjours prolongés. Cependant, comme nous étions du samedi au mercredi, le système nous a facturé une nuit chère et trois nuits bon marché (au lieu de deux chères et deux bon marché). Le propriétaire a eu raison de nous le signaler lors de la réservation, ce qui nous a permis de payer le supplément immédiatement ou de ne pas louer la maison. En résumé : une belle maison spacieuse avec un beau jardin dans un beau quartier et bien située en Champagne, mais gardez à l'esprit qu'elle n'est pas parfaitement entretenue et peut paraître un peu chaotique.

Séjour réussi pour le 31!

Nous étions plusieurs familles avec enfants et nous avons passé un agréable séjour.Nous n'avons pas pu profiter du jardin (météo oblige), mais la maison est très agréable en hiver et bien située.

Superbe séjour au milieu de la Champagne

Super séjour dans cette grande maison qui est idéale pour accueillir une grande famille. Le propriétaire nous accueille en personne, très sympathique, chaleureux. Il donne de précieux conseils. La maison est hyper bien équipée, Les lits sont confortables, Et la région est belle à visiter

Weekend Famille en Champagne

Belle retrouvailles familiales dans cette grande maison de famille très bien situé, au calme près de la forêt et de la montagne de Reims. Maison très spacieuse, avec un très agréable jardin au milieu des vignes. Seul petit bémol, elle nécessiterait un petit rafraîchissement par endroits (ustensiles de cuisine, certains matelas, pression salle de bain).
