NO-WAKE Cove = Our cove is a No-Wake cove. Please remind everyone in your group to always go slow (idle with no wake) when departing and coming into the cove (until you reach the no-wake boys at the end of the cove). This is for the safety of swimmers, protection of boats tied up to the docks, and the avoidance of erosion along the shoreline.

COURTESY - COVE & NEIGHBORS = There are numerous groups / neighbors / families who are enjoying the lake, so please always be courteous with other groups / neighbors / families and avoid anything that may be a nuisance to others (e.g. excessively loud music / profanity / throwing trash into lake / etc.). A good rule of thumb is to not have excessively loud music during quiet hours between 10PM and 9AM.

Our recent stay at Paradise Dock for a family reunion was awesome. The bedroom layout with 4 main suites each with a private bathroom worked well for each family and our 2 younger kids loved the loft area. The main reason we selected this house was the dock and cove location and it did not disappoint! The no-wake cove was great for swimming off the dock and everyone, young and old, enjoyed the upper dock with the slide, jumping area, and partially covered area for sun and shade. We had plenty of room for our pontoon boat in a covered slip, as well as a wakeboat and waverunner secured to the dock. The stairs back up to the house were a workout. The commercial ice machine was a great bonus! The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. Matt was wonderful to work with and accomodating with all our needs. Highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning for future family gatherings.

Great location. The dock was amazing! Plenty of room large families. Matt responded to my texts quickly. Check in was a breeze. Beds were comfortable. We will definitely rent this house again. Thanks Matt for a wonderful memorable vacation!

The Oyster's

The property owners were helpful and quick to respond to questions or concerns. The location was beautiful. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the home, which was immediately noticed once entering the home. The floors and rugs were not swept. The floors beneath the beds were full of dust. We can understand rooms in the basement being damp and using dehumidifiers however there were still so many centipeds in both basement bathrooms. The the silverware tray was filled with crumbs, we washed half of the silverware and trays upon arriving to the home. This was a major dissapointment. This was a family trip away from home with a 6 month old, a 1.5 year old, 2 2.5 year olds, and 2 13 year olds. We loved the floating dock and outdoor tv. We were a bit disappointed with condition of the slide. There were many gouges out of the fiberglass that we covered so the older kids could enjoy the slide.

Great Lakehouse Experience!

We've visited this house multiple times because of location and dock. It's in a great cove and close to marinas. The dock has a slide and jumping platform that the kids love and they can swim across the cove without us having to worry about boating traffic.

Great getaway!

Escaping MI snow was our first priority for Spring Break. Although it was a gray & chilly week, the hot tub kept us warm, and it was still better than snow back home. Matt was a great communicator helping us plan the trip & while we were there. By far THE MOST comprehensive documentation we've ever experienced renting a vacation home, it was a great reference guide to everything. We have stayed on Norris Lake before, so were familiar with the steep inclines. The property was still safe & accessible, even my 78yo Mom walked up the driveway to take walks with us, and down the stairs to hang out on the dock with us. The kitchen island is my dream island, and full of quality cookware, appliances & storage. Two thumbs up!! It was very remote & peaceful, although we'd LOVE to see the place in the peak of summer... I bet it's even more amazing & fun. They've really put alot of thought into stocking the home to support large groups, and the lake looks so beautiful. There were kitchen & bath hand towels, definitely appreciated those. It was strange to have to bring our own bath towels though, that was a first for us. The library was on point for the diverse ages we had, everyone found something to curl up with on the rainy days. Impressive! Thank you Hubers, it was exactly what we needed!

Summer Vacation

The house appears as advertised. It has lots of room. It is a little dated and could use some overall rehab. Dock is nice but really only room for 1 boat parked on outside. There are 2 slips. One with the owners boat and the other has a lift. Really not good for a boat to park as will rub on the metal supports. Good location on the lake an easy to get to. There is really not much room for traitor parking although we did manage to park 1 trailer at the top of the driveway. Very good communication with the owner. Everything worked.

This property is located in an excellent location. Easily accessed and not as remote as other places we've stayed on the lake. The dock is fantastic and was well used. The house while certainly beautiful is somewhat dated and the main floor is quite crowded - although we spent most time outside. The kitchen is well stocked and organized! The owner is thorough in his communications and instructions.

We had a great week. The main living space and loft were smaller than expected from pictures. The outdoor spaces were amazing. The dock, outdoor seating, hot tub and shuffleboard table made for some great memories with family. To our surprise, the ice machine was not working, which led to many trips to marinas for ice. The location on the lake was perfect- no wake, quiet cove, moments away from open water. Overall, we had a wonderful week staying here and the dock is by far the best we’ve ever had!

A little disappointed…

I will start with the good! We love the big creek area, and have stayed in this area before. The cove where the house is located is great, calm water to swim in and pretty quiet. The 2 story dock was where we spent all our time and it was really great. We also enjoyed the lower level deck at the house with comfortable furniture and dining table. Now for the not so good…on our drive there I received an email stating “BTW the ice machine is broke”. We make sure when renting that there is a commercial ice machine because you go through ice like crazy. Overall we spent almost $100 in ice for the week! Next we walk in the house and could tell immediately it hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was milk on the Keurig, hair in the sinks, water for “foaming soap”, dust on all the furniture and overall a not pleasant smell. I then contacted the owner and he said the cleaning service had someone call off that day. The washing machine was weird to work and had to be started after every cycle, but once in awhile worked fine. In the email a week before arriving we were also told to provide our own bath towels, NEVER have we had this in any rental, and we’ve done a lot! The property needs to be maintained, the yard is only weeds, their is junk and garbage all under the decks and just seemed like it needs a BIG cleanup. We are very fortunate to have had great weather and spent a majority of our time outside. We have a rental in Indiana and we know it “takes money to make money” So overall we would not stay here again. We’ve spent the same amount of money in Big Creek for houses that were way nicer, in my opinion the price should be a little lower. I’m just leaving an honest review for future renters.

This home is the perfect gathering place for friends and family!

A group of of friends and family of mine, wanted to gather at a lake house and I don’t think we could have picked a better place! The house is set up perfectly and the dock is the perfect hang out for people of all ages. Plus the shuffle board table next to the hot tob, unbelievable. Plus the hosts couldn’t have been any better answering all questions and staying on top of things. 10/10.

Paradise indeed

Loved our stay at Paradise Dock. Enjoyed all the outdoor area to eat, grill and hangout. This is probably the best and largest dock on the lake with part in shade and part in sun. We played corn hole, listened to tunes and even cooked pulled pork in a crockpot at the dock so we could get right off the lake and enjoy lunch on the water. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. Owners were great to work with!! We hope to be back.

Plenty of room

The home was very spacious for our big group. The kitchen was well stocked to do all of our cooking. We did have trouble getting the grill to light, but just switched over to cooking in the kitchen. Lots of deck room to have space. The dock was excellent. The slide and jump gate was a huge hit with the kids. I don't feel like the water in the hot tub was truly emptied between the last guest and us because it seemed to be dirty. The owner had excellent communication and was responsive to help with an electric issue to the dock that we could not figure out with the instructions. Would be open to staying again.
