Amazing Getaway
This property is absolutely amazing! The property owner did a wonderful job communicating and answering all of our questions. We went down for a week of baseball for our son, and this was the perfect location. Our youngest loved watching the wildlife and playing in the yard. We are very thankful this property was available for our stay!

Beautiful Hideaway!
This property was a perfect getaway! Tucked into the hillside, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to visit the attractions nearby. (Less than 20 mins to Lynchburg, and an hour from Nashville.) Absolutely picturesque views from the back deck and screened porch. You might even catch some deer out grazing or wild turkeys about. Clean, modern and stocked with everything you need! Host communicated well and was there if you needed anything. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

About the host

Hosted by Jeff Kottler

Host profile image
We are an adventurous family that has rented many homes through VRBO in the past. This house was build by my father as a place to come and relax, enjoy the solitude and wildlife and watch football. After his untimely death in 2018 the house sat empty for close to 2 years. We decided to open it up and share the beauty with others. I live less than a minute down the road so as your host, I am always available should you need assistance or have a question.

Why they chose this property

This property has been in the family over 200 years with my son being the 10th generation to reside on the property.

What makes this property unique

The house sits alone with the closet neighbor nearly a mile away. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy true country living. You can sit on the back deck or screened in porch and enjoy beautiful sunsets and an overall beautiful view. Observe the numerous types of wildlife ranging from deer, turkey, fox, owls and many more. Guests must stay a in the area around the house and are not allowed to venture into the woods across the street from the house due to insurance regulations. Guests may walk on the road at their own risk. Explore the New Hope cemetery where several Revolutionary war veterans are buried as well as many Civil War veterans.
