Came in town for The Jack BBQ was only 20 min away and located on the Duck River. Very peaceful place to stay. Really enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the screened in porch every morning.
Nice place, beautiful property and view of the river. Came with family to visit other family in the area. Enjoyed the Jack Daniels plant tour and spending a day in Nashville. House was homey and comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed.
The location was beautifully set next to the Duck River and although we did not get to enjoy the water, we did enjoy the lovely fall colors and peaceful serenity. The house had everything we needed for our stay and I would certainly love to come back.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The house was large enough to be comfortable for our group but the carpet in bedrooms was very dirty in places and the sofa was musty smelling. Also didnt have enough bathcloths, there were no bathcloths in the hall bath. Exterior was in need of cleaning and needed new handrails on front as steps were very steep and handrail was rotten. Screened in back porch was dirty with cobwebs and needed a good cleaning. Host was responsive prior to booking but never checked in on us during stay
The layout and location of the house was great. It was peaceful on the river, and the availability of kayaks was a plus you don’t normally get. The master bedroom was nice and the master shower was beautifully updated. The hardwood throughout the living area and master was nice. The screened in porch was lovely for listening to the frogs at night. The downsides were the other two bedrooms. The carpets are very old and badly stained, the second bathtub was not in great shape. The beds were unusual, the queen had a weird foam topper and one of the two twin beds was mini like a racecar bed, no one older than 10 would be comfortable. The listing said 3 bathrooms but there were only two. There may have been a third in the lower level but it was locked. The trash cans in the garage were completely full and that was where instructed to leave our trash but I just had to set it on top. The house was definitely older and not super clean, like dirty baseboards, crumbs in cabinets, dust bunnies etc However, the host was extremely helpful when I was booking and needed to change from three to two nights.I think a deep clean and updating the carpets in the two bedrooms would change my 4 to a 5

Thanks for letting us know your concerns. Sorry for any inconvenience. Your review mentioned only 2 bedrooms upstairs, but there are 3 bedrooms upstairs. We used to have a 4th available downstairs but not anymore. Thank you for your stay.
We stayed in the area to visit family for a wedding. We had some trouble finding the door at night because of the lack of outside lighting. The kitchen lacked baking sheets and other cookware. The beds were a little uncomfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen could have used more cleaning attention. The basement smelled a little moldy, but that is expected on a river. Overall, we enjoyed the layout and the books! The porch overlooking the river was great for morning coffee and evening games. We also appreciated the swing. The property is also great for hanging outside. We enoyed our stay for the most part.
Overall clean place, house has a few minor maintenance issues but has a ton of potential and great place on the duck river. It would be great if the kayaks were able to be in a shed down by the river and an access stair would be nice but we very much enjoyed our stay and would return!

Perfect views & Quiet
House was not clean, main bathtub dirty, floors dirty, downstairs toilet & sink dirty. We did enjoy the property and house just were surprised not clean as we have never ran into that situation before. Overall we did enjoy our stay
Our stay was amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching the storms. Playing with my grandchildren in the house. The property was so peaceful and relaxing. The dryer broke when we first got there and the owner had it replaced the next day! Excellent communication! We are hoping to come stay again during the summer so we can enjoy actually the river.(We stayed in end of march beginning of April, which as my son said is rainy system for them.) but 3 of the people we had with us did use the kayaks and had fun, to me it was too cold. When you walk in there is a map with tags for you to put where you are from. That was awesome to see and add to!! Thank you for the use of your home we had a great family gathering!
