Retirement party weekend
The location and parking space is great! Listed was a fire pit, no fire pit. I emailed the owners immediately, no reply to three emails over the three days and two night stay. Finally received an answer after we were home. Couch cushions are stained, plates and cups chipped. Beds were wonderful! Comfy and clean. Nice location and plenty to do in the area of Owls Head and Rockland.

The Ideal Family Getaway Spot
We absolutely loved this place. We were a large group with small children. The place was perfect for us - we could have our own space and still be together. The beach is WONDERFUL for kayaking and for small kids. It was a short walk down the street. Although we did not use it - there was a grill and outside space. There was tons of parking which was great because we all came from far away and had 4 cars. The duplex is very nicely decorated - simple but tasteful. Every room is large and spacious. The beds and linens were wonderful.

Amazing space + location.
We used both spaces to host our summer retreat and it did not disappoint. The booking experience was easy, and the response time to my messages by our host was fast, responsive, and helpful. As a group of 7 adults, we found the accommodations top rate: the place was so clean, all of the amenities we needed were at our fingertips, the design of the space was well thought out and we were able to spread out and do our work without feeling crowded. The location was perfect for the walkers, joggers, swimmers, and yoga practitioners in our group. Our hosts, Pat & Shawn-Elise, provided us with an extensive list of restaurants in the area that met the needs of the dietary restrictions some in our group had. Fantastic location and premises for large groups and families. Pat & Shawn-Elise are wonderful hosts. Highly recommended this gem!

Maine Cottage Keepers (MCK) is a small property management and vacation rental company. Pat & Shawn-Elise Lapomarda are both the property owners and operators of the business. We are local to the MidCoast and Sebago Lake Region areas, operating and living in both.

Back in 2013, we bought a cottage down the road from Shawn-Elise's dad, near where she grew up. It was a special place to her because as a child, it was her friend’s great aunt’s home and she visited there often. We both love the location and lived there full time for a short while. In 2016, we weren’t there as much as we wanted and still paid for it each month. So we decided to rent it out when we weren’t using it. We accelerated some projects we had been putting off. We did a thorough cleaning and took some new photos. Then we listed it and our first listing, Sea Rose Cottage, was born.

Why they chose this property

We love to spend time in Owls Head during the summer and admired this house when it was built a few years ago. When it was put on the market for sale we jumped at the opportunity to own it!
