*Bears Den is a 1400+ sq. ft. private daylight basement apartment in our home with it's own outside entrance.
*6-7 person hot tub on overlook deck with spectacular mountain view!
*Half mile from the lake. 1/2 mile from trail head

Our home is on 7.5 wooded acres on top of a scenic ridge. The Bears Den is newly remodeled. The space is a well furnished basement floor with eye-level windows on two sides. One bedroom has a window view of the mountain range. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with full-size appliances and dining table. The large living room with a TV, leather couch, recliner, full bear mount and a work desk creates a wonderful atmosphere for your vacation. One bathroom with shower.
*The Bears Den is a large, well designed area with a private entrance.

* One of two private areas available at the same home.
*About a half mile from Seeley Lake. 1/4 mile from trail head.
*Two queen log beds and three twin log beds.
*Full kitchen with full-size appliances, cooking supplies and dining area.
* Wifi and Firestick TV with Amazon Prime subscription.
*Picnic table, propane grill, hammock, hot tub with a spectacular mountain range view!
*Driveway and huge parking area snow plowed regularly in winter.
*Plenty of space for parking several trailers.
*Access to Morrell Creek adjacent to property.

There is plenty of paved parking, including room for ATV/snowmobile trailers. In the winter, snowmobiles may be used around Seeley Lake.

We are people persons. Guests are welcome to use my cell phone to text or call. We will respect your privacy, but welcome communication with you. Feel free to reach out. We will do whatever we can do make your stay even more special.
Neighboring homes cannot be seen from this home.
During winter, snow mobiles can be used on the roads.

There are two private vacation spaces in this home. We live in one separated section.
1. Bears Den (Large daylight basement with private access and covered parking space.)

Great stay w/wonderful hosts. Accommodations were updated, very clean and had everything we needed for our time there. Had the ability to cook with all kitchen necessities. Great place for a family of 4 -7 pp. Beat part was the wildlife, they have deer that visit multiple times per day., so fun! Thanks again Brenda and David!

Amazing views from the hot tub

Dave and Brenda were great hosts. The Bears Den is very spacious and cute. The location was perfect. As listed it is secluded on the top of a hill. The views from the hot tub were amazing! It was a short drive to downtown Seeley Lake and cross country ski trails.

Vrbo website was not terribly user friendly regarding this property. It was unclear that the owners would automatically charge my credit card for the second and final payment. I had to reach out to the owners on the day before arrival to get info on check-in procedure. Once there however, it was a perfect place to stay. Quiet. Secluded. Beautiful.

Lovely retreat from daily life

We had a relaxing time at Dave and Brenda’s property. We enjoyed the local sites around Seeley Lake since they were all so close. We would definitely stay again. Loved my massage on the deck listening to the birds and stream.

We have lived in Montana for several decades. We were drawn to Seeley Lake by the years of visiting here for the myriad outdoor sports available. We enjoy helping people experience life fully, so we decided to buy a property here in 2020 as a vacation rental. We owned a smaller vacation rental in Seeley. We sold that one and bought this larger one to accommodate more guests, as well as a home for ourselves. Our goal is to make your stay as special as possible for you with your open private entrance. The home is set up to provide privacy for you and your group, but we are available to help, if needed. When you leave, we hope you will take with you the joy that resides on this property!

Why they chose this property

The beautiful Seeley Vacation Home is secluded on a ridge, but very close to the resort town of Seeley, which is the gateway to unlimited scenic outdoor activities in mountains, lakes, creeks and rivers, trails and more.

What makes this property unique

At the Bears Den there is an awesome view of the forest and majestic mountains right from the home. The best view can be taken in year-round from the deck the hot tub is on. This Seeley Vacation Home is very close to all the reasons people come to this area of Montana for! Even the deer in the yard will make you feel very welcome and special!

Guests often comment how nice the towns people of Seeley Lake are. The service in the several restaurants and stores makes you feel like a valued guest of the area. From the incredible food at Lindey's Prime Steakhouse, to the family-oriented Chicken Coop, or breakfast and lunch at Pops, and several other food venues you will be treated as special guests. You can feel free to use the picnic table for a family meal during the warmer seasons, or enjoy the warmth of the dining table inside.

Rovero's Ace Hardware store is open late and has much more than just hardware. You will find seasonal sporting goods, RV accessories, fuel, and even hot foods. Heritage Sporting Goods also has rental gear. Kurt's Polaris is a well managed dealership with more rentals, available. There are plenty of business owners, including us, who can give you ideas for your adventures.

During the summer, walk up and get in line for the very popular Ice Cream Place. There are several other quaint food venues and tourist shops for you to discover in Seeley Lake. Most of the shops can be walked to from one parking spot and all are only two or three minutes drive from the beautiful ridge that holds the secluded Bears Den! A smaller second unit, the Whitetail View, is available, as well.
