About this property

My Largest Nest

Located in a quiet, safe and attractive neighborhood, this is perfect for both vacation and business travelers. Inside, you'll enjoy comfortable furnishings, fast wi-fi, an Arizona room (enclosed patio) and guest-controlled heat and A/C. Photographs and treasures from international travel decorate the home. Instead of providing a washing machine and dryer, a free 1-day-turn-around complementary laundry service is provided (wash, dry, fold). Outside is a lovely backyard with patio furnishings, song birds and hot tub. (Bathrobes are provided).

Local attractions include bars, restaurants, shopping, hiking, Desert Botanical Garden, Musical Instrument Museum and more. Many state-wide attractions are an easy day's drive away. Free shuttle buses provide transportation to many Tempe destinations. This is a great convenience so you can avoid looking for parking spaces downtown, especially during the November - April visitor season. There is a bus stop at the end of the street.

You'll love it here!

Details: The property has a shared wall with a studio apartment. You will not see or hear the resident. You have your own private entrance.

A Lovely Home with an Accommodating Host
This was a perfect place for my mom, who has Alzheimer's, and her caregiver to stay for a week while work was being done on mom's house. Very homey and full of wonderful art including the host's own award winning photography. Diane could not be a better host. I let her know in advance of my mom's condition, and she was super accommodating the whole time, even showing up at 10:30 at night to fix the TV control which my mom had managed to mess up. I am so grateful Diane for your kindness!

Big Nest
This is a wonderful, homey property. It is close to ASU which made it easy to attend all the graduation activities. The host is great at communicating and responding to any request or needs.

House in Tempe
Fantastic location, short drive to many local favorites like ASU, Lake Tempe and Old Town. Great backyard with hot tub, out door patio, and the Arizona room (screened in porch). My dog loved the yard and there is a park to walk him only a couple blocks away. We weren't prepared for Diane's studio but we had our own entry, it wasn’t an issue. Diane was able to take care of any problems that arose during our stay in a timely fashion, Thanks.

Host profile image
Before Covid-19, when I was not hosting guests, I was traveling internationally usually solo. In Central America, I studied Spanish and traveled to test my language skills. Southeast Asia stole my heart with its extraordinary natural beauty and fascinating history. Now home, hosting is my newest passion.

Why they chose this property

I love living in Tempe. Yes it's a city, yet doesn't feel overwhelming.

What makes this property unique

I bought this home 20 years ago and love being in Tempe. This has it all: quiet neighborhood, yet close freeways; nearby shopping (grocery stores, department stores), post office, parks, lots of bicycle paths and hiking.
