RUM & REDFISH RETREAT! Gorgeous setting in the sought after west end of Oak Island. The beach is just over 1 mile from the house. The home is a 3BR, 2BA open concept home, has a well equipped kitchen & breakfast bar with 4 stools. In the sunroom, that adjoins the kitchen, is a dining table and access to the 'walled garden' . The living room and kitchen are one large room--great for quality family time! To the other side of the living room is the study, where there's games, puzzles & a desk in case you need your computer. The primary bedroom has a king size bed & att. full bath. Two other bedrooms share a 3/4 bath in the hallway.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Hardwick

Our family loves the town of Oak Island and of course the beach! We have dogs that are family members too, so having them travel with us is a must. We wanted to share this experience with others and thats why we rent the home.
Why they chose this property
This property was previously owned by an elderly artist. We wanted to give the home the updates that would bring it 'back' but retain the character of its history. We enjoy the open floor plan and hand made stained glass art. Our family grew up in a rural town in New England, so the spacious lot with the grand oaks in the yard---we love! We hope the to create spaces outside to gather when you're not at the beach!
What makes this property unique
The benefits of being here off the beach front is the peaceful walks and ride bikes in the neighborhood. The fenced yard for your dogs. A quiet dead end road without much traffic. When the weather is not great at the beach, it may be different here at the house!
