Beautiful week long stay.

Beautiful secluded property! The house is very spacious and the pool is amazing. I fortunately we were not able to use it, because it was still quite cold. The property is quite high up in the mountains so it is always a bit colder there. The kitchen is well equipped, the pizza oven is lots of fun. I would recommend that the landlords leave some basics such as salt or olive oil in their kitchen. The landlords are very nice and accommodating. They went out of their way to change the heating because it was a bit too cold for us in the morning. The only thing that is a bit annoying is that you have to pay extra for linen and towels and there is also a cleaning fee. That was not clear at first during the booking process.

Aufenthalt Mitte September 5 Erwachsene - Wissenswertes: Das Haus liegt auf 750 Meter über Meereshöhe in bergiger Höhenlage, westseitig ein Felsen mit ca. 1.100 m Höhe. Dadurch Schattten ab 16.15 Uhr, im August max. 1 Stunde länger, Morgensonne ab kurz nach Sonnenaufgang. Bei Hitze sehr angenehm, an bewölkten Tagen kann es kühl sein, durch die Berglage wolkiger als am Strand. Im Schnitt 6 Grad kühler als am Meer. Pool groß, sauber, nicht beheizt. Fahrzeit vom Flughafen ca. 80 min, nächster Ort Graniti 12 min (eine Pizzeria), Supermarkt und weitere Restaurants min. 25 min, nächster Strand Giardini Naxos 35 min. Bei Ankunft Bettwäsche, Handtücher und Klopapier vorhanden, sonst nichts. Spülmittel, Küchenschwämme, Gewürze, Salz, Lebensmittel usw. alles einzukaufen. Mag so ortsüblich sein, ist bei Anreise mit Flugzeug aber aufwendig und sollte vorher kommunziert werden, siehe Distanz zu Läden. Im OG Haupthaus 3 klimatisierte Schlafzimmer, davon 1 mit Bad, 2 SZ teilen sich 1 separates Bad. Türen als reiner Sichtschutz ohne Lärmdämmung, knarzen laut bei jeder Öffnung, also Öl mitbringen. Nur 1 SZ hat Mückengitter, 2 SZ ohne. Zahlreiche Moskitos schon tagsüber, also mit Klimaanlage schlafen oder sich bei offenem Fenster nageln lassen. Im EG Wohnzimmer und Küche mit Fliegengitter, ohne Klimaanlage. Wasserleitungen ohne Dämmung verlegt, man kriegt von seinen Mitmenschen vieles mit..Terrasse/Freisitz schön angelegt, mit Schatten bei Bedarf, viel Raum, schöne Sicht. Großer Garten, herrlich duftende Sträucher um den Poolbereich. Umwelteinflüsse: Unterhalb des Hauses am Hang mehrere bewohnte Häuser, das nahegelegenste ca. 120 m Luftlinie. Mehrere Hunde dort, tagsüber vernehmbar, nachts mit mehrminütigen Bell-Attacken öfters innerhalb einer Stunde, bei geschlossenem Fenster mit Klimaanlage kaum zu hören, bei offenem Fenster je nach Zimmer sehr anstrengend. Tagsüber regelmäßig Motorsägen im Einsatz oder andere Gartengeräte. Ganz ruhige Phasen wechseln sich unvorhersehbar mit lauteren Phasen ab. Ortüblich ist das Verbrennen von Müll und das Abfackeln von Bäumen und Sträuchern, dadurch an 2 Tagen intensiver Brandgeruch, der einen Aussenaufenthalt vermiest hat. Vermieter sind freundlich, Antwort auf Nachrichten schnell, Umsetzung überwiegend zeitnah. Bei Begegnungen mit Einheimischen kaum der Eindruck von gastfreundlicher Höflichkeit, eher gleichgültig, teils abweisend. Daher Gesamteindruck für Haus und Lage sowie Sizilien an sich 3 Sterne

Traumhaftes Objekt, perfekt für Gruppen

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Erfahrung in dem Haus und wollten gar nicht mehr weg. Toller Pool der eine echte Erfrischung war, das Haus war sehr schön, sehr sauber. Der Aussenbereich ist wirklich großzügig, es gibt einen riesigen Garten voller Kräuter und Weinreben, atmosphärisch! Sehr ruhig gelegen. Kommunikation mit den Besitzern war immer super, Sie haben jederzeit sofort ausgeholfen und sind uns sogar mit dem check out entgegen gekommen. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen!

Stunning Villa with amazing views

Our host "Peppe" was brilliant...meeting us in a nearby town and personally taking us to the villa high up in the mountains above Graniti. The property has been beautifully restored and has everything you could possibly need. The outdoor kitchen and dining area with built in BBQ is fabulous and the views down the valley to the sea are breathtaking. Peppe was a brilliant host keeping in contact during our stay and offering lots of suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to dine in. Restaurant Flora is definitely worth visiting. As it was out of season we did not make use of the pool but in summer we can imagine not having to even leave the villa. There is also a small self contained cottage on the property. Access to Taormina, Giardini Naxos and Etna are all within close driving distance. An amazing villa with a superb host which we would highly recommend. Thank you Peppe...
