Enjoy total seclusion away from it all at this log home! An elevated take on the classic mountain lodge, enjoy modern comfort and abundant entertaining space.

The living area features an all-wood interior with wood-beam cathedral ceilings, burnished floors, rustic décor, a TV, and lots of comfortable furniture, all crowned by a majestic, stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace. Downstairs, the game room features air hockey, a pool table, a TV above a stacked-stone fireplace, balcony access, and sleeping accommodations for extra guests.

The well-equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a center prep island, and countertop appliances. Gather for meals at the breakfast bar or the mountain-view dining table. After dinner, step out to the furnished deck and sip a refreshing beverage while enjoying the amazing views.

When it's time to call it for the night, the main bedroom has an en suite bath, a gas log fireplace, deck access, and a hot tub right outside. In the guest bedroom, you'll find a loft area with a full bed and access to a screened porch with a gas grill. Central air-conditioning and ceiling fans will keep everyone comfortable, while the washer/dryer adds convenience.

When you're not out on a fantastic hot-weather hike, kick back in the hot tub or gather around one of the firepits for an evening of quiet stargazing. (There is a gas firepit on the front deck and a wood-burning firepit on the property.)

The trail leads into Nantahala National Forest, and you'll find Burningtown Falls three miles west, where you can see some beautiful natural waterfalls. Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts is 10 miles east, with a 1,500-seat venue for professional theater, dance festivals, concerts, films, and comedies. Get in some fly fishing on the Little Tennessee River and Cullasaja River, or head out for some whitewater rafting and kayaking with a visit to Carolina Outfitters White Water Rafting.

Beautiful
The cabin was beautiful and view was amazing, but that driveway is yikes! Very steep and curvy even with four wheel drive it’s bad. Unless you have a lot of experience with very steep unpaved roads don’t recommend trying it.

Cabin needs a "deep cleaning"
Upon arrival, the cabin appeared clean. We arrived at night. Throughout our stay, I noticed toothpasted above the sink in the Master Bath, food debrie above the kitchen sink, and the area behind the burners on the stove was quite dirty. I am also sad to say that on the last day, I had well over a dozen "bites" on my legs, arms, front and back torso....I think the Master bedroom mattress may have bed bugs. I apologize for the delay in relating this information. I was hoping to avoid putting it on a public site.

Never made it
Can't give a rating since we never made it. Out truck couldn't get up the hill. Responded to a text asking if we made it, saying no truck couldn't make it & didn't hear another word until we got a text asking if we were ready to check out. Wife didn't catch statement on awd/fwd needed. I called VRBO prior to leaving & was told it was just curvy & awd/fwd was not needed. Turns out that was a false statement & a very expensive lesson for us.

Great view...
The house has a fabulous view, lots of space and a lot of ammenities. 4WD is a must for the 3/4 mile long straight up drive way.
