Beach front home in Venetico -ME-
Castello Mortellito is located on the sunny island of Sicily , on a hill surrounded by olive and lemon trees, about 3 km from Venetico Marina. On clear days you can see the Aeolian Islands from the windows.
The current owners, members of an old aristocratic family dating back to 1447, have restored and embellished it over the years. The house offers a magical atmosphere, a mixture of history and memories of the past, from the exquisite porcelain "Doccia", specially created for a noble ancestress, to signed photos of the Italian royal family, who had been friends with the family for two centuries. The castle is surrounded by several large sunny terraces, in the middle of palm trees, bougainvillea and giant strelitias. On one of these terraces is the beautiful pool (17x7m in size, 2m deep). The interior is furnished with elegant furniture of exquisite taste, from the large dining room to the wonderful library with many old and precious volumes. Heating and air conditioning available.
A stay at Castello Mortellito offers many opportunities for excursions in the area with many places of historical and tourist interest. The port of Milazzo is only 18 km away, from there it is possible to reach the Aeolian Islands by steamboat or hydrofoil.

Very large property. lots of places for my grandkids to explore. great views and sunsets. The place was kinda of hard to find. we all had a great time there, and my grandkids didn't want to leave.
