A night in the country

Nice quite place to stay. Don't book if you don't like donkeys. You will be staying in their home. We found them delightful and exactly as advertised.

Fun and unique place to stay

Everything is exactly as described in listing. Peaceful and quiet. Horse and donkeys were hilarious. Probably not the place for someone used to living in the country but great stay for us city people.

Bunk House

Place was exactly how it was advertised. Enjoyed our time with the donkeys and horse. Jasper is a hoot! Camp fire was nice and relaxing.

So much fun!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was fun feeding the donkeys and Bo, the horse. Cabin was tiny but it had everything we needed for a one-night stay. The sheets, comforter and towels smelled very fresh. TV had lots of channels. WiFi was 5G.

Fantastic Property

This was our second stay. We love the quietness of the property and of course the horse and donkeys. Perfect spot for a weekend or midweek getaway. It is also a great base for traveling to local attractions like The wildlife refuge and Medicine Park. Just make sure you bring extra carrots.

It was great! Loved its location, the donkeys & Bo the horse! Don’t let the appearance fool you, it was clean & neat with no other people around you. Most peaceful place me and the wife has stayed!

Great location

Location is great and love the horse and donkeys on the property. Price is perfect and the owner was kind enough to switch weekends when i booked the wrong one, at no additional cost. Simple and fun....

It's a pasture with you and the critters Just know you open the gate. And maybe bring some camping chairs. Lots of free wood you can collect

We had a fabulous time. The horse and donkeys were so funny and gentle. It was just what we needed. A piece of advice though, take more carrots!! 😂

This is an isolated property which was a great thing for me but should be considered if you are more dependent upon immediate attention or services. This is for travelers more than tourists. I loved it.

Peaceful retreat

Found myself a perfect lil space an hour from home for an overnight getaway. Sitting under the stars hearing no barking dogs or car horns! Awesome. Loved the horse & donkey visits! Food & entertainment close by. Cabin neat & clean. Sheets smelled wonderful & slept well. Already booked for summer, but sure I will return before then. Dont expect no fancy digs, but everything you need, & I felt at home. And its pet friendly!

Feed the donkeys

Cabin was clean, cabin next to cabin was a broken door ran down. Charcoal grill not clean, trash on site.not mowed worried about maybe snakes.pictures of property not quite what things really looked like.

Nothing fancy

We really enjoyed our stay. The donkeys and horse were so much fun to feed and of course pet and brush and no ranch is complete without friendly cats. This is not fancy comfortable bed and shower. There is a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. The owner does provide a few snacks, bottled water, coffee, sugar and powdered creamer. There is also a tv with apps the Wi-Fi is very spotty so it's hard to watch anything. The owner was very responsive. We would recommend it and will stay again in the future.

No check-in instructions or contact info ever sent. Derelict cars and shed are your scenery. Trampoline is a deathtrap. Lawn furniture and bbq grill are junk. Do not rent this place.

Accident that occured

The property was quiet, we did enjoy the donkeys and horse however the porch on this cabin needs to be deemed unsafe, I fell through when a board broke as we were standing outside feeding the donkeys and horse and when telling the manager he only told me that the donkeys own the property, and never even had the decentcy to ask if I was hurt or ok. I did bruise and scrape my leg pretty bad. Thankful this didn't happen to a small child or an elderly person, because it could have been worse. The property also has alot of junk around the premises, maybe just a little clean up would help. We stayed at a close by cabin a month ago and the property was much cleaner, and management was available for our needs.
