The Scenic Ridge Cabin is truly a special place! It's a private retreat located on three acres just north of Lawton and Medicine Park, Oklahoma, and is situated in the foothills of the Wichita Mountains. The location features a wrap around patio offering unparalleled panoramic views of Mount Sheridan, Tarbone Mountain, and Mount Scott to the south and the Slick Hills and Blue Canyon Wind Farm to the north.

Our cozy and romantic octagon-shaped cabin is located near the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, where you will find over 59,000 acres of hiking, climbing, fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. The famous Meers Restaurant is only two miles to the east and the quaint cobblestone community of Medicine Park is just 15 minutes away.

My wife and I spent three nights while visiting the Wichita Mountains. We were very pleased with the accomodation. Everything was clean and as advertised. Really good view of the mountains. We enjoyed the serenity of the evenings and sitting out on the porch. Excellent location. Just 15 minutes or so from the refuge. Definitely recommend staying.

Scenic Ridge cabin was so beautiful! Our 1st time staying in a cabin and we loved it! We came down from Louisiana for our son’s AIT graduation at Fort Sill. We all enjoyed just sitting on the porch chilling and enjoying the time we had with our family. Nice, cozy atmosphere! Would definitely love to stay here again!

This place is impressive! The views, the space, the location, the ammenities. All top notch. Literally minutes from the wildlife refuge. I would stop at a grocery store before arriving because the nearest one is 30 min away. There are no spices, or coffee/creamer so you will need to grab those things. Other than that I will definately be back. We had such a great time!

Semi-secluded cabin, close to Medicine Park

Very comfortable and peaceful cabin near Medicine Park. It was a perfect weekend getaway from OKC. Coffee on the covered deck overlooking the mountains was one of my favorite parts of our stay.

Wichita Mountains Cabin

Great cabin near the Wichita Mountains. It provided a comfortable base for a long weekend of hiking in the nearby wildlife refuge. I loved watching the local road runners strutting by right off the porch and taking in the great view of the mountains with my morning coffee.

We went there for our 21st anniversary and had the most lovely time. The cabin was even better than the listing described, everything was beautiful, clean and so comfortable. They had even went above and beyond and left us fresh flowers and an anniversary card on the table for our arrival. We would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future!

Great cabin to stay in

We loved our stay here. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The hosts stocked the cabin with so many useful items. Anything that you might have forgot to pack is there for your use. The covered porch was great to sit out on. We watched a deer graze in the field. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful! Would love to come back again in the future.

Amazing Experience

Cabin was very cozy and inviting. Perfect size for 2 people. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed the comfort of the cabin and being able to step into nature right outside the front door. The views outside were beautiful and we loved sitting outside and looking at the stars every night. We will definitely be back!

A Quiet Retreat

Far enough out of Medicine Park, but close enough to enjoy a burger at Meers Store. The Holy Cities of the Wichita's, Scott Mountain, and Medicine Park were all close enough too. We really enjoyed the day. The cabin was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed building a fire in the firepit and just relaxing for the evening. Overall, we hope to stay again sometime...maybe for an extra day or two!

Piece of heaven

Stayed here for a weekend with our two boys and loved the property, inside and out. There is pretty much everything you could need. The views are gorgeous and the area is nice and quiet, with a short drive to hiking or Medicine Park. But honestly it’s so pretty you could just sit outside on the beautiful porch all weekend and be happy! We had a small issue at check in but the host Dana called us back within just a few minutes and had everything complete taken care of. There were plenty of basic supplies, dishes, linens, etc. I wouldn’t hesitate one bit to stay here again and hope to do so soon!

Peaceful Mountain Getaway with Stunning Nature Views

My recent stay at this cabin was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and maintenance of the property. The cabin effortlessly blends rustic charm with modern comfort.The highlight of my stay was the beautiful wrap-around porch and the breathtaking views of the mountains. It became a morning ritual to enjoy coffee while watching deer and goats wander nearby – a truly serene experience. Inside, the cabin was equally charming. The living area boasted a super comfortable couch, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchen was well-equipped with a large refrigerator and everything else needed for a comfortable stay. The firepit outside was a fantastic addition for the chilly evenings. Sleeping arrangements were ideal, with a cozy bedroom and a loft that comfortably fit two people. The cabin's location near Mt. Scott and various hiking trails in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge was perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like myself. It was wonderful to be so close to nature and yet have all the comforts of home. The hosts deserve a special mention for their excellent communication. The check-in process was a breeze, and they were always quick to respond to any questions. This cabin is a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and convenience. Ideal for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in the tranquility of the mountains. Highly recommend!

We have loved coming to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge and Medicine Park since we moved back to Oklahoma City in 2000. Scenic Ridge Cabin provides us a welcome reset from our day-to-day lives in OKC. We appreciate every opportunity we can to enjoy our cabin and escape our busy lives, but when we can't make it - we love sharing it with others!

Why they chose this property

We had frequently daydreamed about having a little getaway near the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge and Medicine Park and were thrilled to stumble onto the Scenic Ridge Cabin "for sale" over Memorial Day weekend of 2015. We stayed for a "test" weekend and immediately fell in love with the cabin, with its special location on three acres overlooking Mount Scott, Mount Sheridan, Tarbone Mountain, the Slick Hills and the windmill farm. Our unique octagon shaped cabin has been lovingly and thoughtfully renovated and furnished. The views are incredible, and nothing beats relaxing on the wrap around patio.

What makes this property unique

Some of our favorite things about our cabin include: coffee or a glass of wine on the wrap around patio; the artisan touches and finishes; the privacy and solitude; nightly bunny sightings (most often at dusk;) collared lizards hanging out on the rocks; occasional owl sightings; proximity to Meers, Medicine Park, and the Wichita Wildlife Refuge; cooking dinner for a relaxing evening on the couch, watching a movies or a football game; wild turkeys scattered about our neighborhood; our kind neighbors and their sweet and loving dogs.
